It's still very much a work in progress, but let me know what you think.

I KNEW you'd make it awesome!
Fan-frickin-tastic work, that's some real neat linework! Those lines are as sharp and crisp like a knife! Linework is stunning. One word: AWESOME.
Keep up the splendid work!

Thanks for the support :) I'll be posting original work from now on. Most likely a lot, if not all, will be done in pen (like the one I'm working on now haha)

The upper half of the picture is nice too, but I feel it would look a lot more pulled together if you used more pressure with the pencil and added just a few more "harsh" lines.
I love how you drew the chain from his belt, looks like good crisp lines, which can be difficult when you draw on a smaller area where details and accuracy is needed, but you pulled it off!
And don't be afraid to be heavier on the shading!
Really nice work!

Cheers mate, thanks for the tips and kind words, hopefully everything will come together after the inking (this should help with the shading at least).

When attempting to mimic someone else's style it is very essential to study the line work.
Take note in the original drawing: hard and clearly thick lines are used for the front of Sora, while broken, subtly thinner lines are used behind him. This helps gives a character more organic and lively appearance.

Drawing anything in a single line weight (thickness) gives an impression of something more solid and hard surfaced. Mechanical or artificial really.
Hopefully this can be alleviated in your inking stage.

Thanks for the feedback, I get what you mean by copying, this was mainly an exercise since I've just got back into drawing (and also because I really like this picture).
This helps a tonne, I'll definitely study the image more closely and fix the line weights with the pen.
I should have it inked in the next day or so.

Thanks, i'll be sure to upload the inked one when it's done, and hopefully I'll be getting photoshop soon so i might try that
