Agent Meroll! Good to have you!! :D

Once you're in, please proceed to Basic training.... then feel free to explore and familiarize yourself with the barracks and other common areas. Be sure to pay close attention to the various discussions going on around you.

Once you've claimed your assignment, you can get to work... just keep an eye out for new intel, rendezvous times and locations, etc.

Carry on, troops!

The 2012 calendar should be available soon too. Guess the people that took part in that art contest will just have to buy one to find out if they're in it or not! :\

Operation: Holiday Flood 2011 Posted November 9th, 2011 in Art

This is almost exactly like the Friday Flood ...only NOT! :P

This is a TOP SECRET project that requires stealth and secrecy if it's to be properly EXECUTED!
Therefore, the majority of it will be conducted at a (no longer un)disclosed facility codenamed 'Pipeline'.

If you are interested in taking part, you must have security clearance. The first step in acquiring that is to sign up here, then post your user name in this thread.

If you're accepted into the operation, you will be given access to the project. Once inside, an agent will brief you on the mission details and you will receive your individual assignments.

The complexity of assignments will vary depending on the number of available operatives. The goal is one image per person, but could be significantly higher.

If at any time the circumstances look bleak... the mission will be aborted. Cyanide capsules come standard in the welcome kits but all other 'tools of the trade' will be your responsibility.

Leaks/moles will not be tolerated. Punishment will be harsh! This is Christmas, dammit! We're not messing around! grrr >:(

If you have any simple questions about this project, feel free to ask them here, otherwise, please keep all other discussion to the interrogation rooms within Pipeline.

Pipeline is still in beta phase, so if you discover any bugs or have suggestions for features to add or remove, feel free to send those to cptyossarian (here or via pipeline's pm's). I'm sure he would greatly appreciate it.

This project is NOT eligible for the $300 contest.

...might seem like an obvious question, but you have it checked to snap, right? The magnet? ...I've found that it turns itself on and off randomly... unless there's something I'm doing to cause it... I dunno! But it works inside the symbols I just made.

If it's a school paper, and such an important assignment... wouldn't they want the art to be done by a student as well?

Either way, an honors credit should be worth more than $20.

Response to: Fast color swap? Posted November 8th, 2011 in Game Development

You could add a new layer and put two shapes filled with the colors you need on it (just off the stage). Then use keyboard shortcuts to switch between tools... like the bucket and the eyedropper. When you're done, delete the layer with the swatches.

Or you can select one color for the stroke and the other for the fill ...then click 'swap colors' to toggle between them ...as far as I know there's not a shortcut for that.

Fast color swap?

It would be helpful if you linked to the preloader you used. It should have a stop(); action in it. If not, you would need to add one.

Response to: Small change that'd go long way Posted November 6th, 2011 in Art

The art portal is a fairly new addition, so they squeezed it into the existing layout knowing that a full redesign was on the horizon. Sadly that's taken longer than anticipated... but 100% certain it will be properly incorporated and showcased at that time.

This would normally belong in wi/ht, but since there's not really anything to discuss, we'll just lock this up!

Personally, I'm just sad that I won't be in this one since I've participated in all the past ndc's, but, OH WELL, life goes on :)
