It's neither, it's a site for verification/dismissal of urban legends, and it has a lot of political/war themed entries.

Where do you live, paris? The vast majority of american citizens agreed with military action in Iraq, as did the vast majority of american politicians. Just because there were more protests than we've seen in recent years doesn't mean any sort of majority opposed the war, or the president.

Most urban war legends can be cleared up on snopes.com, for future reference.

What amazes me is, you support Dennis Kucinich, and yet you can write a coherent paragraph. I salute you.

Response to: overpopulation; solution anyone? Posted February 5th, 2004 in Politics

It won't be an issue for a long time, overpopulation isn't quite the problem many people seem to think it is. India and other areas are certainly overpopulated, but when spread evenly, the world is capable of sustaining well over ten billion people.

..and hey, if it ever gets REALLY bad in the USA, we could just let the Dems pass their socialized medicine plan, that's sure to thin out the numbers.

Yeah, that might be the greatest thing I've done at 1am.

Why would it be suprising? They deposed a long-term enemy of peace, and ended the oppression of 24 million people.

Response to: U.S. Sold Saddam Weapons? Posted February 5th, 2004 in Politics

No no no, this is just as baseless as the selling UBL weapons in the afghan war. Yes, the US supported the afghans against the soviets, but even if the US wanted to fund foreign al qaeda fighters, they'd have no way to contact them..likewise, Iraq had been at war with Iran, at the time, Iran had been involved in a bitter standoff with the US just years before...which would you have supported?

Nevertheless, the amount of aid given to Iraq is insignificant compared to that given to Iraq by France and Russia, including a nuclear reactor (which was destroyed in 1991).

Not but two post ago did I list a bunch of hatred and violence encouraging quotes from the Koran...are you even reading my replies?

Response to: US Concentration camp: Guantanamo Posted January 27th, 2004 in Politics

No, it's a POW camp. The men jailed there are prisoners of the US war on terror, as well as terror suspects awaiting trial. No one is being executed or experiemented on.

Response to: Muslims killing Buddhist monks Posted January 27th, 2004 in Politics

No, it doesn't. The Koran is based on violence, the Muslim faith is based on self-propagation by force throughout the world.

It's nice to assume the Bible is equally violent, but it really isn't..if you had read either you'd know this.

Response to: Muslims killing Buddhist monks Posted January 27th, 2004 in Politics

That's what the muslim world would like nonmuslims to believe, yes, but anyone who's read the koran, like myself, can plainly see otherwise.

"Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it." (Surah 2:216)

"Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends." (Surah 5:51)

"Make war on them until idolatry shall cease and God's religion shall reign supreme." (Surah 8:36-)

"...make war on the leaders of unbelief...Make war on them: God will chastise them at your hands and humble them. He will grant you victory over them..." (Surah 9:12-)

Response to: Other Politics Group? Posted January 27th, 2004 in Politics

The politics council is the only important group anyway.

Response to: Muslims killing Buddhist monks Posted January 27th, 2004 in Politics

Oh please, the Qu'Ran encourages violence and hatred, and whether muslims actually practice it is insignificant. The religion is based on violence, what do you expect to happen?

Response to: whats up wit howard dean? Posted January 27th, 2004 in Politics

I'd give anything to see Howard Dean as the Democrat candidate in 2004.

It usually works.

Howard Dean could always get a job as a nextel sales rep if this whole screaming at voters thing fizzles out...

"im gonna get you the direct connect COAST TO COAST AND TALK GROUP AND EMAIL AND TEXT MESSAGING AND VOICE MAIL AND CALLER ID AND THEN WERE GONNA GO INTO NEXT MONTH AND GET BACK THE ROLLOVER MINUTES...YEEEEEHAW"

Response to: The Patriot Act Posted January 25th, 2004 in Politics

This isn't 1984, the people protesting the patriot act aren't freedom fighters, they're morons who don't understand it.

The patriot act prevents terrorist actions, without compromising innocent parties freedoms.
