Midnight tonight, US Eastern Time
We're up to $542 in the fundraiser! Thank you so much to everyone who's helped contribute. Maybe we can do another cool trophy this year at this rate :)
It begins tomorrow...!

The only trouble with that is that I can't give everyone a definite prize amount when they enter the contest. Although more prize money never hurt anyone, so maybe we could just add the post-indiegogo donations to the Final Round winner. :)
We now have a twitter for announcements both short and big! https://twitter.com/ngtournament
$150 so far on the fundraiser, with 28 days to go!
We're at $109, thanks to some steady small donations - there's now a $1 and $5 option for those who just want to chip in a little bit :)

Aw dude, come on you've gotta let me know about these things!
You have a point! They've all been changed.

We have our first donation! Thanks to tdbloodforever1, we are at $80

Hey all!
NATA is fast approaching (beginning May 3rd) and we've begun our fundraising. We have some neat perks (see: Posters, calendars, shirts) As usual, NATA is a community supported competition and your help really counts! Tom's putting in a bunch as usual, but it'd be cool to up the ante as much as we can!
Donations are open until May 28, which is shortly after the Open Round completes.
PLEASE HELP!

This is the same kind of dilemma that parody shows like South Park have to deal with on a regular basis. The line is far extended beyond the norm to include some really insensitive stuff, but that doesn't mean that the line doesn't still exist.
While the decision is entirely yours to make, I think you made the right one. You may want to consider that it boils down to this: The place you draw the line will determine your audience. Draw it too close, and you'll alienate a large chunk of your current 10+ year fanbase. Draw it too far, and you'll risk a reputation / environment alike to /b/.
So find the right place somewhere in between, and choose which audience you would like NewGrounds to cater to.
Prize payments went out today to all who have replied to my PM!
Also, the DVD is coming along. It takes quite some time to convert 7 years worth of tournament entries to video.

Indeed, there will!
The NewGrounds Annual Tournament of Animation 2013 has officially drawn to a close, and the Final results are now in. This year had some really fantastic entries, and the final showdown was by far the closest we've ever had - the entries were a mere 2.5 points apart in their scores. So, without further adieu,
The Champion of Animation for 2013 is...

Hikarian!!
A special thanks to everyone who made this year so successful - to all of those who donated in the IndieGoGo, to Bennett Awards for making our stunning trophy, and of course to all who entered and created amazing animations, you guys rock!
I've already sent out PMs to everyone who is entitled to a prize, so please check your inboxes or PM me if you didn't get one! I am currently working on the DVDs, and will get a Calendar and 2013 Poster prepared after that. After I ship those out to those who donated for them, they'll be available to purchase on the NATA site. Also, we will be having a couple of small NATA-related contests in the coming months for some other things :) More on that later.
Again, thank you to everyone who participated. I'll see you next year!

As usual, judging will take about a week to complete, at longest.
There's 10 minutes left, but I'm just gonna say it now.
NATA 2013 IS CLOSED!!
This is going to be a tough one...
Awesome!! You have just over 24 hours to make any last-minute changes to these :)
This is it, everyone - the final showdown to determine this year's Champion of Animation. Please welcome our victors Pahgawk and Hikarian to the Final Round of the NewGrounds Annual Tournament of Animation, 2013.

I'll see you all in 4 hours for the next round.
Thanks to everyone who entered - there were a lot of great animators that I hated to see didn't make it.
Quick PSA- Is there anyone in the Boston / New Hampshire area? I will be visiting the first week of July - would anyone be interested in a meetup in Boston or otherwise?
Also, we have our first judge in! Test-Object is currently in the middle of finals and will not be able to complete his scores until Saturday-ish, so we won't have any results until at least then. Thanks for your patience!
There is only one hour left to submit late entries for a 40-point penalty. Here's what we've got - be sure to check and make sure we got it!
