Hello all,
TOFA has been renamed to NATA for this year: The NewGrounds Annual Tournament of Animation!
The NATA website is up at http://nata.munchymedia.com/ , where you can find all details including brackets, calendar dates (which will also be on the NG calendar), rules, and more. Check out the prizes for this year on the Rules page, as the prize divisions will be very different from last year. Everyone who gets into the first round will receive a prize, and the further you get, the more you earn!
The contest will begin here in the Animation section on April 16th. See you all then!
Sorry for the bump, but I just wanted to say that the T-Shirts have arrived and will be shipping out soon!
Also, I have decided on the new name for the Tournament, and I will begin designing the logo, structure, and website soon. After that we will begin accepting donations for 2012 and seeking additional sponsorships :)
Ah well, I only said that it MAY be done. Not sure if what I showed you will actually happen Dave. We'll see.
Also yes I will need an image of you interacting with Earth as is tradition. Next year you will not be allowed to enter the contest, but will be invited to be a judge for the year (As Zeurel was for this year).
Ladies and Gentlemen... Animators have toiled and fought each other out of tournament brackets over the past months, and now we have come to our conclusion.
The Champion of Flash Artists for the Fifth Annual Tournament of Flash Artists on Newgrounds 2011 is...

DAVE BRUNO!
All results and reviews (and soon Thor's reviews) have been posted on the TOFA website: http://tofa.munchymedia.com/finalround.h tml
Thank You to all who participated. Dave and Lazy Mode will be contacted to receive their awards soon, and T-Shirts will be mailed when I get all replies (or after a couple weeks with no replies.)
Thank You all for participating. I will see you next year :)
One judge left! :O
They may not submit their scores until tomorrow, however.
It will be VERY difficult to decide the winner on this one. Very difficult.
It should be noted that TOFA will resume next year under a different name (still being decided) to avoid conflicting with the ABS TOFA. It should also be noted that next year's contest will be much larger and have more incentive for everyone involved.
The Final Round is now CLOSED!!
Very interesting! I like the shadowing
TWO DAYS, 9 HOURS!
I am awaiting replies from everyone I sent the offer to on the T-Shirts so I can order them all at once and get bulk pricing (as well as ordering correct sizes for everyone). I am waiting on 3 people out of 20, but if they don't reply soon I'll go ahead and order the 17 shirts.
Just under 20 days!!!
He was travelling and didn't realize this round ended when it did. Reviews will be up sometime tonight.
-- The Final Round --
Over the next 25 days, the 2 winners of the Round 3 Brackets will face off to decide who will be the ultimate Champion of Flash Artists!!

Dave Bruno and Lazy Mode Comics!
Results will be posted to the website soon, as well as the final round...

Yes. Just waiting on Elfman Rox and Sandwich Eater!
Just over 4 hours remaining!
At 7/31/11 05:51 PM, Elfman-Rox wrote: Probably should have asked this earlier, but are we allowed to make reference to celebrities by their stage names? (Carrot Top, to be specific)
As long as it's just a reference, you should be fine.
Just remember that you take responsibility for any claims by Carrot Top ;)
Just over a week remaining!!!
Also a friendly reminder that we are only accepting donations until next week.
It is not a "team", it is an entirely different contest that bears the same name and similar rules. I believ you have to be "nominated" in order to participate, the nomination period ended some time ago.
We have received $10 from Peter C. !
17 Days! How is everyone doing?
On another note, we are only accepting donations until the end of this round! When the final round begins, donations will be closed. Currently we have $1710 in donations, and need $290 to reach our goal of $2,000.
CLICK HERE TO DONATE!, or in my signature.
Best of luck to everyone this round!

5 Hours Remain...
Although remember that there is NO LATE PENALTY for the first hour. So technically you have 6 hours.
