I look at california and new york, and unlike most people I don't think of LA or NY. These two states are very beautiful and are near the ocean, which is also a bonus. San Jose and .. maybe San francisco if they get their shit together and stop charging so much for rent, those places would be paradise compared to new mexico or LA.

I like Albany and Buffalo NY. Even the far outskirts of NYC where you get away from the pollution. Most of the east coast has the lowest rates of depression and suicide, while out here in the west it's an epidemic, and for good reason. My shit state of NM has the 4th highest.

You know there was a policeman near columbine high school who engaged gunfire within minutes, but didn't hit the shooters. Jeff weise killed a security guard and stole his armor. By the way, there's been security in school for a long ass time, and columbine only caused a moral panic which resulted in practically 90% of schools having a cop there, with a gun that can kill as well. However, sandy hook elementary was the only school in the area without an armed officer.

Ah, that case. For those of you who don't know (and I cant blame you as this happened 9 years ago) a newgrounds user by the name of Jeff Weise shot up his high school. While he's relevant for another 15 minutes, I want to point out that his dad committed suicide after a standoff with the reservation's police. His mom got into a car crash and became paralyzed or something. They were very abusive parents, and he had few friends, and dealt with extreme bullying and isolation. He dealt with absolute hell, and I'm not supporting what he did, but I really do feel horrible for him. As hellish as MY life has been, it's not as bad as his existence. I'll continue on about him after some more quotes.

I know its a bit out of place to write a TL;DR piece about jeff on another article, but whatever. If you look at the area where he lived, it's on a native american reservation. I live near the largest one in the US, the navajo nation. There's a huge crime rate there, with extreme homicide/suicide rates, and everyone is dirt poor. It's a fucking 3rd world country in the middle of fucking nowhere (arizona). Now imagine instead of a desert wasteland, a cold, (even more) isolated place far from a city.

Imagine all the pain 'regret' went through. His parents dying, having only his grandparents to depend on, in the middle of nowhere back before the internet became super-social. Of course when he went postal it did get 15 minutes of fame, but nobody knows who he is... because he isn't some suburban white boy. There's a bias on other races.

Come next march, it will be 10 years since his death! That's an entire decade that's passed. If ghosts exist, that means the bloke had to deal with a decade of extra misery, now possibly tormented by 8 victims.

As for the kid who went postal today, he only killed like 3 so it's not sufficient enough to become a household name. Since he's white if he just dished in 6 more souls the circus would be in full swing...
