Nope. Instead of using the airbrush tool, you could've done something like this.
I wouldn't recommend using the airbrush tool for shading, 'cause it will make the character look hairy.

Adobe Flash CS6 can be a huge bitch with symbols.
Try the "automatically convert object to symbol button", I've got it circled down on the pic below.
If that doesn't solve the problem either, try re-installing CS6.

Response to: My first action animation Posted October 24th, 2012 in Animation

Looking at the motion of the characters, I'd say you used Anime Studio. That may be the reason why the file won't upload to Newgrounds - NG only accepts .swf, .mov and .mp4 files for now. I may be wrong though.
Looking at your movie, I really can say that you did put a lot of effort to get it done, there still may be some stuff to improve, like, why not try to get around some lip syncing?
The fight scenes looked very good. You figured out how to have more actions at the same time. Bravo!
One more thing - the proportions were a bit off, but I suppose you did it on a purpose?
Cheers.

Wow. This artist has broken ALL POSSIBLE rules of the Art Portal. It's so obvious that most of his work are traced pics, and if it's not traced (it's really done by him), it looks like bullcrap. You sir, you have a bright future on your way.

The only animated part in this short film was probably that dude running. Everything else is just text which is even misspelled at some parts.

It's still hard believable that your art style has changed from mediocre to good for 5 months. Have you taken an art class or something?

Reading this thread your game is meant to be called "THE LEGEND OF KALI", and is meant to be a shooter. And now what, your game is now called "JOSH AND KEVIN" and is a platformer? Are you rapidly changing your ideas?

He first thought he is going to do the artwork, but then he probably realized that his drawing abilities aren't very good and then he decided to be a writer or something.
To OP: not to be rude, you may ask for experienced people to hire, but have you got enough experience to keep this indie game development team ongoing? I don't think so.

I don't think the face is painted by you. The nose looks too good together with the eyes and the mouth, and looking at your artwork, your nose and lip drawing is unique, but this...
I suppose you just took a picture and used the smudge tool to make it look like it's painted (that's what Escalus said) and then you colored the eyes white and put some blood effects near the mouth.
Also, this artwork looks like you just smudged over a picture, because the hair is unfitting.
Now: Is that what I and Escalus said true?
