Ghosts 'n Goblins. Definitely.
He is ranked among the better presidents by historians (generally 1st quartile), but certainly much better than that in popular opinion.
I don't overlook his faults.
I just don't see people entirely rationally like that—I don't think of them as +1 and -1 and their failures and achievements.
I think of their character, their intents, their ideals.
Was he a good president for America at the time? Yes.
Everything changes when you distance yourself from it, while the zeitgeist of an era cannot be defined logically it should never be forgotten.
Now do I think he was one of the best presidents? No. But I do like his political views and his character, and I appreciate his place in history. That's why he is among Americans' favorite presidents. Favorite ≠ Best
So is he overrated as a President? In some sense, yes.
But he was certainly a hero to many.
Henry Ford was both a rabid antisemite and a traitor the Allies of World War II.
"Democracy is nothing but a leveling down of ability which makes for waste."
Kennedy introduced the Civil Rights Act to congress.
Exactly, he was not racist.
He obviously meant. The human race.
Also Henry Ford (antisemetic dick) and Walt Disney (antisemitic racist misogynistic dick).
I agree with most of these, but not JFK or Tesla.
Tesla was not racist.
He did support eugenics, but this had nothing to do with race.
Eugenics was seen very differently in the 19th century than it is now.
Eugenics was always sterilization, not euthanasia, and Winston Churchill and H.G. Wells also supported it.
Basically every industrialized country look into eugenics, and not for non-white people, but for those with severe mental and physical disabilities that were believed to be genetic. The only country that actually KILLED people with defects was the Third Reich under Action T4—which is why eugenics is now seen as racist and evil.
Before WWII the Eugenics Movement was widely popular among the educated, and never involved killing, only sterilization.
As for JFK, I do not think he is infallible, but he was not just another politician with good looks.
He did have a dark side in his affairs, which were numerous, but thats arguably based on how he was parented (Joe Kennedy was notoriously misogynistic). But he was not a mediocre president.
JFK created the Civil Rights Act (he just didn't live to see them pass).
And he did not support Civil Rights for political reasons.
And saying he delayed to show his supports is ridiculous.
He always supported Civil Rights, he just hesitated in giving official presidential endorsement for protests in case they turned violent.
JFK arguably prevented Nuclear War, not just by his actions in the Cuban Missile Crisis but by being president instead of his running mate, Richard Nixon (if you didn't know he sabotaged US peace talks with Vietnam to win reelection).
Kennedy was the only President who sought diplomacy with the Soviet Union, he even tried to create a joint Space Program (but again, his death prevented this from happening). If he was not murdered the Cold War would have thawed a lot sooner.
Kennedy also created the Peace Corps.
Did he authorize the Bay of Pigs invasion? Yes. Did he have numerous affairs? Yes.
But he was an eloquent speaker, a brilliant politician, and undoubtedly a decent human being.
Kennedy's legacy was not being assassinated, his legacy was being beloved by his country who mourned him.
I'd also like to add a new "hero" to the list,
Charles Darwin.
Now he was racist.
Ocarina of Time, SMB 3.

I did love Boehner's standing ovation though. It was adorable.
I watched it, stupid.
I fell for that hopey changy bullshit in 08,
none of that crap will happen.
Every State of the Union address is
"The Union is great, look at how much we've accomplished, let's do this too."
His speeches are boring as hell now too.
And there is a big difference between a premature baby and a fetus.
Premature babies have brainwaves, premature babies can feel pain.
The premature baby doesn't need the mother to survive, but the fetus does.
A premature baby can develop with modern medical technology, but there is literally nothing you can do to grow a fetus without a mother—just look at the brain-dead pregnant woman, her lack of brain activity obviously contributed to the child's severe deformity.
In my opinion abortion is ethical if done during the first trimester (13 weeks).
Past viability is akin to murder.

For the news I go to news.google, it gives listings aggregated from news sites, and you can set the frequency of sources and topics (ie I selected "rarely" for sports and Fox News).
My preferred sources are NPR, Forbes, and BBC.
News sucks these days. The only stories that are informative are biased and the only unbiased stories are uninformative.
Ghosts n Goblins.
That game is a bitch.
You have to beat it twice and the second time is timed.
And the ending...
No clue.
There's basically just been a general trend of War, Terrorism, Economic Failure, and Political Douchebaggery since the turn of the century.
Just a few years can be impossible to predict.
Think about it: in 2001 the Congressional Budget Office predicted that we would have a 800 billion dollar surplus every year from 2009 to 2012. Instead we a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit.
But if I had to guess, lots of war threats and manufactured crisis.
And plenty more government scandals.
It's the range of frequencies they can hear.
Disease? I'm more anxious than depressed myself, but anxiety can cause you to fear doing anything and become apathetic and then depressed, so they're liked two sides of the same coin.
My life is a distraction. I'm always on the computer, invest myself in research, the news, blahblah anything to get away from my own thoughts. Which is a shame, really.
I'm a bit depressed. But hell, I'm 16 and naive in many ways so I don't get to bitch about things like I've been there,
But I agree about intelligence and depression to an extent. Depression is the default state for the intelligent, because you just know how... futile things are.
That doesn't mean you can't find happiness, though.
And in fact true happiness is not ignorant happiness, but knowing things for what they really are and being content with life anyway.

Here's a thread about depression. Many have experienced it, including myself.
How would you describe it?
Are you depressed currently?
Talk about what got you there.
This is also meant to be an advice/support column.
May you be happy, May you be healthy, May you live with ease.
Exactly. I thought it was active again to.
Can't you guys just reactivate it?
What is this just because a few users left?
I gots have open 2 tabs. One of the news and one of here.
Your cat is obviously hearing sounds outside the range of human hearing, which are made frequently during dawn/dusk (when rodents and consequently cats are most active).
Why are you so stupid.
Stop being so stupid.
This thread is retarded.
Who are you to judge these people?
Post a picture of yourself and we'll see how you stack up.
