1. I've won 16 awards and only ever got one thing on the front page (and that was due to it being Clock Day and them putting all their favourite clock things on the front page).

2. Quality has practically nothing to do with what gets put on the front page. There is little to no quality in Foamy, sim dates and hentai games, but huge amounts of those get put on the front page. This whole site is just a big popularity contest; if you want to get high ratings you just have to cater to the NG users (ie. make stuff with references to pop culture, fill it with porn or preferably hentai + violence). This site is very unfair, but after a while you get used to it. It's not an art site, it's an entertainment site, for the art alternative go to DA.

3. The lightsabre movie is called L incase no one has pointed this out yet (I did not read the entire thread).

Exactly. Its just plain not funny, its got good graphics and I respect that he is talented enough to make his own music, but its just not funny.

I feel you people are biassed (I probably am as well, but I'm a minority so I have more to argue for). I don't have time to spend voting on movies other than those that my friends have made and/or asked me to watch. I spend the majority of my time on the computer making Flash, I would just like to get a little more from submitting it here. The majority of you people just don't seem to understand the vast amount of effort it takes to create a good animation. Obviously giving voting power to anyone who submits a movie is stupid, we don't want to encourage people to submit crap; however, I think for winning awards you should gain a relative amount of power (fifth place the lowest, daily feature the highest, extra for front page.)
Unless you have tried making and submitting Flash I don't think you can really judge whether this is a good idea or not fairly, but I (obviously) do.

The only anime I watch are Naruto and Full Metal Alchemist. Hellsing is good too, but I rarely see it, I borrowed a DVD of it at one point.

People will always tell you what to do, it gets worse and worse as you're older because it begins to actually matter. You get used to it after a while and stop acting like a victim.

I really think we should get voting power from making movies. Surely one who is talented at animation is a better judge of what is well done and what isn't than someone who just spends all their time voting.

If you look just to the right of F12 you will see a button which says "prt scr" or something similar. Press that, then go to Paint, Photoshop or whatever art program you used and press control+v to paste your image in.

In a fight between a samurai and a ninja, if they were equally skilled, no one would win, but the ninja would probably run away (if you count that as losing).

If the battle was fought more close up without the ninja being able to use his hiding skills etc. the samurai would win.

If neither could run away but they could both use all their skills then the ninja would probably win; they have a more varied form of attack and have more stamina training than a samurai who are mainly based around killing with one strike, not so much strategy.
