Like the people above me said, tweens and FBFs serve different purposes. You won't FBF a scrolling background and you won't tween an important action. They're both very useful, and I think the best idea would be to combine the two.

Now with regards to which one is better for character animation, FBF, it's a no-brainer. Unfortunately, meticulous frame-by-frame animation takes forever and is difficult to master, so most people use tweens.

Depends on your content, though usually Newgrounds doesn't like them. If they're done well, however, sure.

I probably enjoyed SpeedoSausage's flash the most.

I liked 2nd more than 1st; more entertaining as a whole.

The first one had a little too much movement. Maybe you could slow it down just a little. Other than that, it's pretty good. The second one was also nicely done, no complaints about it.
