Ok I have an official Date for the Toronto portion of the tour.

I`ll be in Toronto from June 4 (at night) to June 8.

So there you have it... can I have a roll call of who`s exactly planning on meeting there.

Also... anyone know any cheap hotels... or better yet want to put a musician and his 2 man crew up for a few nights?

So Dan, man..what kind of time frame, will you be spending in each place?

I'll be spending a day in Kelowna... and probubly about 3 days in Toronto... and about 1 and a half days in Calgary.

Should be plenty of time to really churn out something good... I'm also looking towards the end of the month.

Ok thats enough bickering in this topic. Also if your going to start a U.S. tour, would you mind discussing it in a seperate topic?... It would be neat to make this concept world wide and annual, but right now I'm focusing on Canada. Thanks mates.

Man I wish I could, but thats a whole other flight plan.... the extra few hundred dollars is simply too much to cover it (and I'm certainly sure I'm the only one silly enough to fund this tour in the first place)... it would be cool to drive down there... but I simply don't have the 5 days I'd need to make such a drive worth it.

Maybe I'll take another tour next year, or if your in Alberta for any reason let me know and we'll work something out.

For those who live in calgary... I'll catch you all in one shot for sure.

Spread the word.

Glad to see many of you considering going to Toronto. Please send me a message if your sure, and I'll send everyone a date and place in advance.

Looking good people... looking very good... hey maybe if we get enough people, Mr.Fulp will look upon this and bless us with swag to adorn our holy gathering.

Does anyone know any popular Flash artists who live in the toronto area?

Again I must clarify that I will only be Going to anywhere in Alberta, Near Kelowna, BC... and Toronto Ontario. Anywhere else is beyond my budget for this tour (unless of course you pay for the trip, which isn't likely). So if you'd like to get together for an Interview (or The big music collaboration) and are available for those areas at any time, let me know.

I'm hoping the trip to Toronto will be the biggest. Me and Maestro promise there will be crackers, cake... and mom jokes.

Well hello Newgrounds!

I want to collaborate... WAIT!.... don't flame me just yet.

I'm tired of this mansy pansy Collaboration via interweb thing we keep semi-successfully attempting. How about something that hasn't been done before (At least I think I'm the only one stupid enough to go for this)

You see, my 50th submission to Newgrounds is fast approaching and I've been thinking hard of a way to commemorate such an occasion. It got me thinking....

I have some bucks saved up, some holidays from work stored away as well. It's time to do some Traveling!

So heres what I'm going to do. I'm going to hop in a car and an airplane, and make some stops. I'm going to go and visit a few of my favorite Canadian newgrounds artists.

My plan is to meet and collaborate in person with a few newgrounds artists for my 50th Submission.

So heres the deal, if you live in Alberta... let me know, I could drive anywhere in alberta fairly easily.

I'm also making a weekend trip near or in Kelowna. And I'll be making one flight down to Toronto.

If you live or can get to any of these places easily and want to be involved, let me know.

That pretty much flexes my budget for this idea, so I won't be going anywhere outside of Alberta. Unless of course you fund my ticket... in which case... I'll certainly go anywhere you like.

I'll be videotaping everything I can and give you guys a chance to meet a few artists from Newgrounds yourself. I wish I could go all over the world to meet a lot of you, but, I'm not rich like our founding father Tom Fulp.

In The End the music that will come fourth is of the least importance... the learning experience and chance to get creative with some of you guys will be well worth it.

Cheers to all who are able to join in. Though I doubt there will be many... if any.

At the time of this posting I have confirmed a visit with MaestroRage in Toronto, and hope to confirm a visit with Bad_Man_Incorporated as soon as I speak with him)

Hey, does anyone here know the names of either of these flash animations.

1. It's a comedy flash about a guy who's kitty talks to him, and he eats it. Wife walks in... gets upset. Yah... thats all I remember about it.

2. The flash movie with The Crazy clown and the burger king guy getting together, having sex, then having a baby. Also a comedy.

Halp?

Forum: Audio

Hey... well I know of one way you can do it. If you have some money to spare. And it will set you up for future projects and progression.

I bought a Presonus Inspire 1294 recently.... and what it basically does... is takes the sound from it's two microphone and two guitar jacks and feeds it into the computer.

It comes with software and instructions on how to set it all up and record either audio from a mic or guitar into your computer.

The cool thing is, you can rig it up with a program like Cubase... and with special plugins you can give the guitar all sorts of cool effects that you would normally need a good AMP or pedal for. It works very well and I'd recommend it.

There are hundreds of other products just like this one. Go to your local proffesional music store and ask around... they may be able to help you out.

If you are looking for a cheap solution... just get the right adapter so you can plug your guitar into your "line in" plugin (usually blue) on the back of your computer. Record with a free program called Goldwave

Hope this helps.

Well I don't usually advertise here, but I've just created something quite different.

The first song to the start of my new album... and the first vocal song I've ever recorded.
Put a brand new mic to work for me.
This is truly one step closer to my dream.

Did you know you can use all the Reason Refills and sequencers with Cubase :).

That means you can use all the VST's you want... and all the reason sounds as well.

Win win :)

Now it's good to be back and there I bring you

My official return to the world of newgrounds. I truly missed you guys. You have all made some wonderful music and it's going to be hard to keep up. All the new promising faces are expecially amazing.

Well Enjoy anyhow. I look forward to reviews, zero's and time well spent.

Stop Motion Drum and Piano

This guy does an amazing job making a song using stop motion animation.

I liked the song so much I made a tribute to it.

Stop Motion Symphany

uhmm... for some reason the headphone option on the track doesn't works so you have to download it.

Anyways... seriously that song rocks lol

lol... I compare this contest to Christmas Morning.

Sometimes when you've snooped around the house... you get a glimpse of what your "Big Present" is going to be. So christmas morning... you have a slight feeling of dissapointment knowing what it is... but your excited none the less... but you also are excited to open all the smaller gifts that you have no clue about.

In this case the big present would be the "Winner" and the smaller presents are the other top 4.

Anyone pickin up on my analogy here? lol

An extra $250 is nice though.
Extra money is always a bonus, but if people want to get serious with music they should be looking at what a contest (and the prize) will do for them in terms of publicity, which ultimately will result in more jobs and revenue. It's similar to a long term investment.

Publicity, however great... is good for bussiness. But I cannot find any satisfaction in publicity for some reason. I find the greatest satisfaction in knowing I've created something I've always dreamed to create. The closer I get to creating the perfect masterpiece... the more satisfied I am. Of course this can't be said for every person.

But I do declare... I wouldn't rule out the possibility that someone else could win quite yet. I tip my hat to your proffesionalism and absolutley stunning work, but since Christmas is so close to the heart of many of our judges I'm sure... perhaps a different piece can strike an old memory and a pleasant nerve, where Mr.Orr's piece could not.

But... again... in all likelyhood lol... *sigh*... sometimes you just can't beat a pro.

Hey everyone,

Well after being in the christmas spirit I decided to finish a little christmas piece I was working on for a non-contest entry. So here it.

It's kinda a cover of 4 Christmas classics... in my own style.

Can you guess the 4 Christmas classics I used???
This was incredibley rushed cuz I won't have time to make anymore music for a long while.

Anywho... thanks in advance for any reviews and scores :)."The Classical Christmas" - Milkman-Dan
