The one you drew seems to be too big for the room. (I mean look at the ceiling, if you sat on that thing you would be bent over) I'd scale it down a bit, and try to make it more symmetrical.
Here's one I drew a while ago for a game I never finished. It isn't quite from the front view though.

Well... what about it? This image suggests nothing original...
Hello! I'm looking for writer(s) who can help me come up with a main storyline, but most importantly, and ending for the sequel of my flash game, Zombies - Surrounded.
I want to pick up where that game left off. A soldier on top of a building shoots at you as you run by (He thinks you're infected) and he misses. You then team up with a group of survivors there, in that very building. Your role in the game is to search through the town day by day and find supplies. (food, barricade items, ETC.) There will be a few parts in the game where you do get to shoot zombies, but for the most part, you are on the edge of your seat, searching through recently abandoned buildings.
Sometimes you may come across survivors, and you may choose to bring them with you to the safe house, or dispatch them... You won't be able to save every survivor, because you just can't find enough supplies to support all of them, so choose who you want to live with you wisely. You will come across some survivors who have things to trade, and there will be some mini-missions (for example, a man you rescued is sure that the outbreak is biblically related, and wants you to find him a bible somewhere in the town. In return for the bible, he offers you a shotgun) The navigation will be first-person point and click. This is an adventure-RPG game. You will be able to search through the whole fictional town of Eastview.
Basically, I want a solid ending that isn't too cliche. This is the last game in the series. Remember, I'm not looking for an entire script, I'd just like a short story about a group of (10-ish) survivors that manage to fend off the infected in an old building for about a month (or however long), then after that month something significant happens that ends the story. (No helicopter rescue please - that's about the most cliche ending ever!)
Here is an example of what I am looking for: "A group of survivors camped out in an old power station send the main character, Lance, out into town to search for supplies. Whilst exploring, Lance discovers a heavily barricaded building full of strange lab equipment. The survivors come in contact with the government, who tell them that there is a machine that was created to be used as a last resort if the infection "got loose", and that they are not able to remotely detonate the machine that releases a cure for the virus into the atmosphere. The government instructs the survivors carefully about how to activate the machine. On the last day of the game, the main character succeeds in activating the machine, and to his horror an atomic bomb is set off that kills everything and everyone in and near the town. (They were lied to, and had to be sacrificed to save the world)"
Anyone who helps me (not everyone who posts, but if your idea helps me) will have their name in the credits of my next game, and if you help me significantly, I will even co-author you on Newgrounds! Please note that this game may take 6 months to a year to finish.
You can PM me, or you can post ideas here in the thread. Both will work! Thread-posts preferred!
Enjoy this image of a featured Zombies 3 infected about to have dinner. By the way, the game is still unnamed.

I highly doubt anybody will allow you to do such a thing.
No, they were right, I just want the name. I need my actual account. Sorry for the confusion!
Thanks Auz!
Hey, is there any way to snatch one of those old account user names? (Where the person created an account in like 2003 then abandoned it...)
I'm a serious upcoming flash developer and I really need a new one that I can tell people without feeling embarrassed.
As for a name, I'm not entirely sure.
There are some glitches, like the balls that come after the first one go right through the moving platform you control. I don't understand the numbers on the balls and on the platform. Some things don't make sense. It is much too easy anyway, and the graphics are boring. And, there's no sound...

You are a genius!
When i go to the flash settings and un-check "include hidden layers" the border is gone, but when i don't, it's there. What does this mean?
Thank you!
You have to give the movie clip an instance name (to do so, click the movie clip, and to go properties) and then in the script of the button you have to tell it to make the movie clip play.
EX: - if you named the movie clip "stickman" (it's instance name), put this in the play button's code:
on(press){
_root.stickman.play();
}
Is there a way to make 2 separate movie clips follow the mouse that are on different layers?
You see, there is a custom cursor in my game, and when you go into the dark rooms a flashlight effect movie clip should follow the mouse along with the main cursor, but since the cursor is OVER the interface and the light effect is UNDER the interface, I need to make them separate (the cursor and the light effect).
I can't have the light effect go over the interface, but i cant have the cursor go under the interface, but I need them both to follow the mouse simultaneously! Please help! ----AS2
I realize that, but why is it doing it? It even does it when I view it in the browser, like on the newgrounds upload, and I don't want it to!
When I test the movie (600x400) in flash CS5, it works fine, but when I click on the SWF in my desktop, it adds like 10 pixels onto the top and bottom of the swf for some reason. How can I go about fixing this? It's really annoying.
I'm not like that, it's just referring to the type of games I make. :|

... but are you sure you're going to be able to get 10 second Flashes with such a tight deadline?
Thanks.
If all else fails, we will extend the deadline, but hopefully we will get enough of them.
Hi! Currently, I am collaborating with RogerU on a flash game called Dropout.
Dropout is a sim game that is about raising money for college. (That's about all I can say at the moment)
We are in need of around 10 short, 10 second flash animations to put on "Bluegrounds.com", a website you can visit in the game.
The flashes can be about anything, as long as they are rated E-T. It is certainly okay if you have already created and unpublished flash. It doesn't have to be absolutely awesome - quality wise, but if it is a stick figure animation, it has to be really good. Animations can also have sound, if you don't add sound, then we will.
If we use your animation (and you can certainly submit more than one) we will use your username or whatever you want to be called on the "Bluegrounds.com" website, but you will not be credited as a collaborator on Newgrounds, because there would be too many people.
The framerate is 25 fps, and the dimensions don't matter that much, as long as they are around 550x400.
The deadline to send flashes is next Friday, the 14th. Please upload your .fla files (any version of flash) to the Newgrounds dump and PM me the link.
Here are a few graphics from the game!
Building your own PC is always better, but I got lazy and got a Studio XPS 8100 from Best Buy, and it is capable of running Dead Rising 2 at full quality, so it's pretty darn good.

You've heard incorrectly. My last game has earned me about 4,000$ from the sponsor, and over 700$ in advertisements. And it isn't even really that popular.
Advertisements are very important for the flash developers that are doing it for a full time job. They need to earn money! So you guys should stop complaining about the ads.
Besides, CPMstar ads don't make you sit through 30 second video ads anyways. Only when the game is loading.*
Mochiads does though... but that's a different story.
I go to Newgrounds.com, and this is what I see. There's a video playing, and there is more "advertisement space" on my screen than Newgrounds. It's really annoying. I think Newgrounds is going overboard with these front page ads...
Joined Newgrounds, left a few reviews, messed around in the flash forum, made a few games, got a few hundred thousand views. :]
I'm so happy he's not a mod anymore! :D
Thanks for telling me about the student version! I got it! :]
Now I have to learn how to do everything since the layout is so different from Flash 8 :\
Dude I don't care XD
I just want to know where I can download it...

Umm... CS3 actually does allow you to import images... and CS3 does support AS3...
I have researched everything about CS3 and CS4 and I decided to go with CS3...
Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough, but I think I did...
So can anyone help me? Where can I buy and download it?
I have read countless stories about different versions of flash (I'm updating from flash 8 here) and I have decided to go with CS3. My mind is set on that.
However, I can only get the latest version from Adobe.com.
Is there a site where I can buy CS3 (Paypal preferred) and download it from the website?
