Ok I've been messing with this Malstrom thingette, and I cant really get the sound I'm tryin to get. Like, if you've heard the beginning of B0UNC3's PoE Club Demo, that Dry type of synth, I dont even know where to start in building that beast.

Ok, I can easily put a basic drum pattern down, figured out the different beat automations, now what I'm really trying to get at are good bass and (saw type) synth sounds. As an example, in Fruity Loops, there was the Sytrus VSTi that had a bunch of badass saw's. If you guys know what I mean, it'd be helpful for some insight.

Ok, I've been using Reason for about a month now, got the hang of the ReDrum (Drum Machine) and now I'm slowly working my way to learning the Malstrom and Subtractor Synths... I just find the interface a lot different, but it's great at the same time. Also, I see there are like, 20 different little effects you can route the Synths through, I just wanted to ask, if it's generally recommended for getting a good sound.

Thx!

I know this is gonna sound like a noobish question, but I'm relatively new to this program (relatively as in I screwed around for 5 minutes and gave myself a heart attack trying to learn lol) but I'm interested in making more of Techno/Dance music, and I was wondering how this is done? I've done it in FL , but this is a whole other world to learn.

Thanks for any help in advance!

Hey! I've heard great things about reason around these parts lately. But I downloaded the Trial Verson, and I can't seem to get a steady dance beat down. I'm in to the techno/dance stuff, so if anyone uses Reason in this area, please dont be shy and give some advice!

ThanX

I've seen this program used, and dont know what the big deals about. It's just a multi track session that can host VST's, doesn't look like anything more than a different look on fruity loops. I'm probably wrong, but if anyone here uses it, please tell me some Pros + Cons of using it over say, FL or, Reason 3.0. I've heard both good and bad things so I just wanted to see what you guys know about it!

I'm not too sure about this but I think it's the plug-ins rather than the program itself. Google.ca some voice removal plug-ins if there out there.

theres this button in the top right corner, with FX on it. Now what you do is go into there, and assign some FX to say channel one. Then you go to one of your instrument channels and assign FX Channel 1 to the instrument. if thats what you meant I'm glad to be of some help, but if not, plz explain the question more thoroughly.

I've heard ParagonX9's stuff, and I'd like to learn some techniques for drum n bass songs. I've been producing music for some odd years now, 4 - 6, and am completely self taught, just lookin for some guidlines here and there.

Any help would be appreciated!
