I can not seem to be able to copy and paste the different mouths on the main timeline because I have to unlock all the mask layers which then shows the green oval that is on different parts of the mouth. When I try to then copy and paste it shows all the mouth parts and a green mask layer.
Any advice would be great thanks!
put the layers(mouth, mask, etc) into ANOTHER graphic. if the layers are unlocked it shows the mask, but can't be moved if they're locked. so imbed them twice
pose-to-pose is the way to go for correct timing and easing

I want to apply this to the portraits when a user hovers over a button. Any ideas how to do this?
And does anybody know how to make this scrollable screen like this Any ideas? I wanted to use this idea for countless projects.
Any ideas or help is appreciated :]
@Vaguely wonderful: Im not sure about the structure of this for the credit page.
first time seeing this, i'll try it out and let you know. looks like it would be useful in the future as well
hey buddy, welcome to NG!
you don't need to import to flash. NG supports MPG-4 now not only SWF. Hope that helps!
the worst is the line tool. depending on the planets aligning and everything being perfect, the line tool will delete fills. it's a math error
glad you got it going. what you'll want to do with big projects is make your own MASTER sprite sheet. once you make a symbol in flash you can delete it and it stays in th library for future use (Ctrl+L)
sometimes it's good to set all of this up beforehand so you're not stuck tracking things down and importing them
best of luck!

FLA: http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/4ab0cb4c5d67ab4a7f66aed2 3faf6be9
seems like you have a grasp on things but you're missing a few basics of flash that you NEED to know before you can continue. i suggest reading the first 2 chapters of Adam Phillips BCA Flash
i have something similar for southpaws that use tablets. i can post it if anyone is interested. basicly uses the numpad for common shortcuts

haha i've been using it since 2002 and i still forget where the "Flip Horizontal" button is sometimes xD
haha took you a while to get there mate!
yes make sure they are all moveclips when you import. even if you aren't placing filters, make sure to convert objects to symbols to save filesize and processor load.
another thing i notice is that you're making flash lite files. is there a specific reason for that? if not just make regular documents or you'll get limited on some things
yeah, think of what the wheel size is. if it's diameter is say 17 pixels, it has a circumference of 53pixels~
when you break it down to pixels, for every rotation of the tire, the car should move forward 53 pixels, or else you get the sliding effect that you have here.

sounds like salad finger.
try and be more creative with the design. it's very simple

glad i could help. i'm not the biggest fan of sprites but it's great for beginners. helps you get a feel for animation and timing without spending the time drawing
had the same idea already. but already got 3 animators lined up so i probably won't make a topic for it
is that the DiNovo keyboard reckless? used to have one but with the track pad. i have a saitek now. Logitech went all laptop keys, and i love the thick clickers personally.
@Zee: it's got it's own hard drive and runs windows 7 64-bit. i'm actually looking to sell it soon and get a newer model but it was well worth the money and works great for animation

i wouldn't go under 20 FPS for sprites
for the blur i attached a picture at the bottom.
sprite backgrounds that you find in the sheets are usually tiles, so they line up left to right, up and down etc, so you can put 4 or 5 or 20 in one movieclip stacked end on end and tween the larger background you just made
ask if you need anything else

Concern one, I kind of like light hearted guyxguy stuff but I don't show a whole pile lot, not up for doing smut, another thing is my art style isn't as awesome as some of the stuff you find on here...
I think you can call me a person that thinks too much about things 0_o
most we can say is that we don't like it, but you'll find more constructive criticism than anything
post them

thanks in advance
On the box next to the fill(paint bucket image) select no fill(red box with line through it)
Click the magnet in the tool pane to remove aligning.
Use the bone tool and rig the character

aye.
no cintiq but just as good.
Fujitsu T4220 tablet laptop.
pen and digitizer are made by wacom. good quality.
picked mine up for $130 with a bad HDD
usually go for around 3-400 with the better processor and ram like mine.

ALRIGHTY, what's next?
looks good, pretty chopped up though. you might want to go back and do some inbetween frames.
a good exercise is full body rotation, and faces going from happy to sad to surprised and so on

you're referring to the brackenwood series.
there's a lot out there, you found the newgrounds board, so find the portal!
