I agree with a previous poster about the spelling and punctuation mistakes. Also, as a writer I don't see why you are so against negative reviews of your unfolding piece, negative reviews help a serious writer to improve and identify his/her mistakes and also improve the way you connect with your readers. Negative reviews are not always a bad thing.
In the short burst style that you are writing it in, it remindes me of some sort of old saturday morning serial where the reader gets one bit at a time and is left hanging until next week. It is a good idea to keep people coming back for more and I think your enthusiasm will help that factor.
I say keep writing it and see where it goes.

Well, if you have ever been to jail anywhere in the US you would know that there are guards that neglect prisoners. As well as mistreat them. These sorts of things happen all over, all the time. I guess it is high time someone started paying attention.

Response to: First Black President? Posted February 11th, 2007 in Politics

I agree that this country could probably benefit from a black president, it would definately spark alot of social debates and even violence. But, such is the way things are during change.
As a white male, I truly think a black president, or woman president for that matter could do the job just as well as any white president. I have yet to hear much on his views and plans other than a couple of news reports. But, as the elections draw nigh I will hear more.

Response to: Rise of the KKK? Posted February 11th, 2007 in Politics

As long as there are people there will be difference of opinion. As long as there is difference in people weather it be skin color, religion, or traditions there will always be racists and others that disagree with difference.

We haven't been here for millions of years buddy.

One more note, I am agnostic as you are and don't choose any religion because I like to see proof with my own eyes. Now I never say that religion is wrong, just that I don't know what is true and untrue.
If there is a god, I agree with the original poster that a being of that knowledge and awesome power, probably would have factored in everything down to the smallest molecule. And seeing as how the universe is so big, I really don't agree with many religions' view that Earth is the center and all important place in the universe. I think that is just us trying to justify our existence.
Logically, what would be the point of making us on this little blue planet in the Milky Way galaxy so special when there is such a vast universe out there that has so many possibilities, so many things we cannot even fathom. From what we have done in exploring the universe, we haven't even scratched the surface.
So I ask again, why would this little blue planet in the Milky Way galaxy, one of trillions of galaxies and possibly much more, we can see only so far. Why would we be so important in the grand scheme of things? How do we know that we are not part of something larger, something that cannot be explained. Something that cannot come down to the individual or a species, or even one shining blue planet in a sea of stars.
This is why I cannot choose a religion. Things just seem more complex than... Us.

The reason I'm starting this here is because I want to raise awareness of this and hopefully ultimately cancel this show.

***THEY ACTUALLY KILL PEOPLE IN THE SHOW***

I heard of some messed up reality shows, but this crosses the line.

Its a fucking independant film you moron not a real show. They are making fun of reality TV. I watched the movie on Shotime (Premium movie channel for those of you without cable.) one night. That website was set up to create hype for the movie.
Are you really this gullible? If you actually watch the movie you can tell everything is part of a script. You actually think this is real? Are you off your fucking meds or something?

Karn rode the skiff to an embankment that gave sufficient cover from any patrols from the air, and a great view of the battlefield which was still in a state of perpetual pandemonium. High energy plasma blasts of several kinds of blues and greens surrounded by red cackling energy burst forth from cannons and energy batteries, the resulting explosions could be heard miles from the destruction.

The battle was far from over down there, Karn knew. But, this was where Karn had to take his leave. The troops seemed to be fairing well. Morale was high after the destruction of the fortress and besides, Karn had bigger fish to fry.

"What a mess we are in." Karn said aloud, "Such petty waste of lives, goddamn you Faloore."

The oni watched the battle for a while longer and then fired the boosters on the skiff sending it quickly from the cover of the embankment and into the open air. Heading away from the battle, to the west, Karn was making his way to the nearest allied spaceport where he could hop on a ship and go to the only person that could help him; Josephine. He could never make it into space at his current location, the Gigas fleet were swarming the region. He had to find a more remote port.
The only worry on the oni's mind was the possibility that the spaceport might not be there anymore.

On that day I was out and about and unusually happy. A friend of mine said it's because I have a black heart, but I don't think that is true. I think I was happy because I knew that there were people stupid enough to think that there was something bad about that day, people that were actually cowering somewhere clutching their mass produced bible. Some in hotel rooms reaching for their bible, conviniently placed by the Guidions. This was a normal day, but those people who thought that some make believe catastrophe was going to happen- We didn't have to fucking deal with because they were all hiding under their beds.
I was in a good fucking mood. I went and saw the Omen, and I got drunk later on. It was a good day.

The samurai awoke. His vision a mess of blurry blue and red light. He pushed his upper body up with his forearms, and as his mind was beginning to realize that it had been reawakened, he came to realize his weakness, having to use all the strength in his body to raise himself into a sitting position against a cold metal wall behind him.

"Wh-e-r-e....", The samurai's voice cracked and died before he could finish his thoughts. His voice would not return at the moment and he gave up trying to speak. He was blinking his eyes quickly, trying to adjust them to the light around him.

"Where are you? Is that what you were trying to muster?" A somewhat flamboyant voice answered close by.

The samurai could hear footsteps pacing around him, he could feel eyes upon him. He felt sick, he felt weak, but more importantly, he felt alive.

"Where you are is irrelevant, what you must do is what matters, Gattsu." The voice revealed. That name! The samurai recalled that name as his own within an instant of hearing it. He was Gattsu, he was a samurai, he was alive!

Response to: For Anti Christians: Posted November 29th, 2006 in Politics

I am not "Anti-Christian", I am just not Christian or anything for that matter. Does this mean I am an Athiest? No, I am Agnostic and do agree that people are entitled to thier beliefs wether I agree with them or not.
What angers me though is people running around forcing thier religion down people's throats. Do you want to condemn me and look down on me because I don't believe in your book? I have met many Christians who did. Now before I get flamed for saying that please note that I did not say ALL Christians.

Truthfully, I could care less about your references to a book that was apparently created by a supreme being. I don't care. If I did you would see me in church.
Since you are so quick to shove your beliefs down our throats let me shove mine down yours: I need proof! Not just some book proclaiming that its all true because the book says its true. I can't just go on blind faith as many people can. I need REAL evidence.

This thread has been dead a long time, and the story was pretty good. The many writers that were involved in it are what made the characters interesting and kept the characters consistant in their immortal lives that were wrought with war, torment, and love.
I have decided to revive this thread after thinking about doing so a long time. I will take up where we left off and try to bring the story to the dramatic heights that it reached when it was started. I expect to have the first new post ready in a couple of days.

If anyone wishes to join, feel free. But try to read up on a few of the pages to aquaint yourself with what is going on in the story.

(Obviously I'm the only one left, but I'm going to continue the writing anyways.)

Karn quickly spun around and stopped the wide attack from Gerin's barbed staff. The blow sent him staggering back. Karn immediately after recovering sent his massive body up into the air and struck his brother in the chest with his powerful tail. Gerin fell to the ground and looked back up to his brother who was now on the offense.
Gerin smiled at his quick to retaliate younger brother and quickly moved his hand in a strange yet fluid motion causing him to fade away in the grip of laughter.
Karn slammed into the location where his brother had once been and quickly stood up, "DAMN!!" The oni yelled. Turning back to look for Jean, Karn was amazed to see his ally no longer there.
Karn did not dwell on it long as he saw the elevator suddenly open, strangely enough there were no soldiers inside to greet him. The large oni quickly made it across the giant docking bay and into the elevator where he requested the bridge level. The elevator, which happened to be a repulsorlift, made the trip up the 100 levels rather speedy and pleasant complete with soothing music.
That rather quiet and uneventful moment ended as soon as the repulsorlift reached its destination. As the doors opened a hail of plasma cannon fire erupted into the lift. After a long moment of constant searing light and heat the blasts stopped, the fifty or so manned plasma cannons cased their onslaught.
As the dust settled, the damage to the lift could be surveyed, black scorches and melted durasteel along the walls of the once perfectly flat shiny walls. The commander of the fortress, holding a powerful plasma pistol gave the motion for three sentries to move in and check the inside of the lift. The men nodded and moved in slowly, keeping their wits about them. When nearing the lift, one soldier noticed large claw marks in the floor of the lift. He turned and pointed at them as to make the others aware. The leader of the three stepped slowly in checking the roof and the inner walls.
He turned around and looked at the others, "There's no one here!" The others heaved a sigh of relief, which was quickly silenced as the soldier inside the lift was quickly lifted by a metal tail with a claw at one end. The man disappeared and his screams could be heard from above as large bits of flesh and streams of blood dropped onto the lift floor below.
"Shit!" The commander screeched; the soldiers around him backed away from the lift almost instantly. A long pause followed. Then as quick as it had begun Karn leaped out from the lift’s roof and threw himself into the mass of bodies. His tail swiped wildly, throwing soldiers like rag dolls into the bridge’s many computers, causing sparks, and light flickers throughout the room. Karn took a step forward and cleaved one man in two, blood spraying across his allies and covering the floor. Several men fired plasma cannons at the ferocious oni but were denied contact when the skillful warrior deflected them back at them with lightning fast strikes with his mystic scimitar.
The fortress’ commander quickly ran as far into the back of the room as he could, standing, and shaking in horror at the massacre that was currently befalling his troops. How could this have happened he thought? Had this creature defeated Gerin? Was it possible?
Karn quickly finished off the last of the soldiers by painfully disemboweling the last two with his tail. The angry oni, eyes glowing a bright orange vehemently as he approached the terrified lone commander.
“You may be asking yourself, How did I get here? Why is this happening to me? I’ll tell you.” Karn brought his demonic glare in close to the mortal in fear for his life, and much more. “You chose the wrong side!” Karn finished. The man cried out as Karn slowly ripped his sword through the man’s ribs and shoulder, dropping his lifeless body to the ground in a bloody heap.
The immortal demon stepped over to the power generator control console, this console regulated power to different parts of the floating fortress, he quickly rerouted all power in the fortress to the engines and set them to overload. The fortress’ emergency sirens quickly ensued.
“Engines overload in twelve minutes! All personnel evacuate immediately!” The female voice bellowed over the COM system.
“No shit…” Karn said with a smile as he quickly made his way back to the repulsor lift, only moments later the immortal was back in the docking bay, paying no heed to the several hundred soldiers that were also trying to escape the soon to be inferno. They were so busy saving their own skins that they hardly noticed the otherworldly warrior steal a vacant skiff and head off away from the blast zone.
