i would rate myself 6/10, 7/10 on a good day. ive only been playing for about 2 years and ive been told im really good for my experience level. once i get a decent mic, ill post some shit on NG and you can be the judge.

most of the music i write is metal or alternative. but i play alot of sublime, silversun pickups, smashing pumpkins. lots of shit from the 90's. im pretty versatile, but the one thing i cant do is play with just my fingers. im so used to picking that when i try without the pick my fingers become retarded.

heres my current guitar. its an epiphone les paul special 2. pretty mediocre guitar, but its the one i started with and i still love it. its got a great sound on pretty much any amp setting.

were all collectively doomed. just get drunk and enjoy the ride.

I was looking at the regulars. Gibson, Ibanez, Fender.

Anyone have any suggestions?
To be a little more specific, im looking for either a solid body electric guitar or a bass guitar. and money is not an issue, cuz im just gonna add the price to my student loans.

otherwise im gonna go and spend a shitload of money on a gibson and probly regret it.
