The purple Jolly Roger on the bottom was un-intentional but wicked bad-assed! Lol! Well at least in my opinion.

I totally didn't see her there until now.
Thanks. I saw a whole cast of characters in there lol. Maybe I'll do a pic of the other figures I saw in there, that is if it's ok with you.

Here is my symmetery. Was meant to look like Ben or Ben's work. It didn't turn out very neat because I had layers everywhere and I was just choosing any random layer and then colouring a bit...
and I suppose the premantis I made does have a lot of figures all around it, I made it in alchemy, mind blowing program i tell you..
Ok I was a smart ass. I freed the anime girl wanting to be free from Bloo's Mantis. Bloo-apple is the original artist I just edited and colored his work to free the anime girl (hope you don't mind Bloo...) And it is symetrical.

Anywho, what i meant when i said that is when through out my search for learning how to draw anime long long ago, I've always come across several methods of identical references to how to draw anime. All of that was too over-used, so i thought of the red box with the cross in it idea during when painting this in ms paint to counter that talk of the thread being dead. I also start to think of if it was already thought of already, like how many other people may of not realized that there was a name for that particular method or style of drawing they've always use.
Anywho anywho, I guess i could try to detailed it later but during when i was painting that while thinking of what i've thought of, over 20 min has passed by fast O.0
Ah, Ok. I'm a little less confused now. But the thread ain't doing so hot lol, It's seen better days. I hope more people post to this thread. It's one of my favorites. Especially since a bulk of my art is done in paint. Yaeh time seems to fly by when your working on a project. Part of the reason that in my pieces the backgrounds suck. I work so long on the central part of the piece, I'm like crap gotta make a background now. It gets very droll when eorking in MSPaint.

Ok I took all the non-symetrical aspects out of one of my pieces, and made it perfectly symetrical.

Medium: MSPaint
Time spent: 8 Hours
After working on this piece one night for about 8 hours straight it came time to make a background. I was too tired/lazy to make a decent background at the time. I suck at backgrounds, any suggestions? Please critique the figure as well. This piece is a self portrait of sorts. My L.A.R.P. character to be precise. Hence the odd colored weapons. The real life costume and props are fairly similar. Besides the background I feel something is off. Any critiques are very welcome at this point. It was made entirely in MSPaint.
Anyway on to my piece.
Size-1000x1365 pixels
Medium- Sharpie on paper, resized with Gimp
Time-bout an hour
Thanks. Not sure what more detail I could add to the clothes though. As for the weapons. The Halbred in RL is all white, and the hammer (only part of the head is showing is all black with a silver trident on the face. So I'm not to sure what I could add to enhance those things. And I agree the background is god aweful.
I just downloaded gimp. It's pretty awesome.

my picture is a little anime pencil sketch done in an hour or two. I was just trying to get some good shading practice with this. The shield was sort of rushed.
Size: 12x9 in
Medium: pencil on paper

I like this piece. the only thing that gets me is the shoulders shading does not seem to flow with the rest of the piece. The shield totally does not look rushed.

Incredible! My only concern is that the tail is awefully close to the horizon line. Throws off the prespective a bit.

Cool to hear. It's not worth getting mad over silly stuff like that. two areas I alway had trouble with: small objects and backgrounds. If This was something important, I would go back and fix it till it was perfect. But it was just a joke. One that backfired and blew up in my face, but a joke all the same.

LOL! I deserve that. Art is like hard N' stuff. :P That's why I went to Akbar's Art school. I'll never forget the school motto: "Hey at least you can draw a circle". Go Fighting Silverfish! (The schools Chess team)

Would you believe It's a custom "I'm too tired and retarded to fix this mouse"? Y'know from Staple's?

This is a much older work when I was experimenting with textures.

It's the poor man's Gradient lol. Looks good, But tedious to do. Takes a lot of patience. And I do mean a lot.
