Well, the bass doesn't exactly disappear, like I said it just rattles. I bought the damn things for 40 bucks, and it only lasted 5 months! Thats way too short for earphones that friggen expensive. I'm going to try the superglue thing, I suppose if that doesn't work i'm going to go buy dollar store earphones from now on.

Guys my earphones are not working whenever a bass sound comes into the song, my right earphone vibrates and makes that irratating vibrating sound (that chron is probably so damn used to hearing).

I know it's not the little speakers, it's not distortion, it's not static or anything. It's just whenever a low enough frequency comes along, it rattles. How can I fix this? If I take super glue, squeeze the earphone tight and glue the top to the base, will it stop rattling? I would do it to find out and tell the rest of you, but I wanted to see if anybody had any better ideas before I did so.

Thanks for your time.

to be brutally honest, I don't myself see much of a use for it, as i'm not into the technical part of music at all. But definately it will be worth having for many others, I myself am writing a guide on how to compose for different situations (not even close to being done), but I would urge you on, purely on the fact that you yourself may learn something from it.

Forum: Audio

I didn't get JEALOUS >:(

I got a little lonely :'(. I was making all these pieces and I didn't quite like any other music site. Soundclick has a rather poor community, and I don't like their chart system (it just feels so cold and uncaring), GarageBand demands you give either $20 to upload per song, or leave 30 reviews (You would think 30 reviews is nothing, but trust me, the thought of having to do so for every song is simply a no go), mixposure only lets you upload 5 songs before you HAVE to pay), stockmusic demands you have a cd to send them, which I don't have seeing as I master and equalize my own tracks, and am not afraid to say I suck at it. "Artist" websites in general are all concerned with writing and drawings, most don't even have a music upload feature.

So you see, I was quite homeless.

I saw the MAC August contest and wanted to participate, and thought what better way to come back for however long I can.

There are of course other reasons... which to be honest I can't tell you yet, but I will at the end of this month, once i'm done a few experiments. After the experiments are over, I don't know if I will be returning to MaestroSorrow, or simply keep going with my new alias, but you will all see soon enough why.

Everything for a reason and [insert every other smart sounding quote you can think of].

Thank you Stealth_Of_Wind, and anybody else who enjoys what I do, that's why I put them there in the first place.

well here's my two cents.

I have nearly no musical theory training, everything I do I base purely on creativity and what I personally think sounds good. In my eyes creativity is the bane of an artists existence, simple beats are a sure way to get people listening, but I would rather hold 5 intelligent fans, then hundreds of simple minded ones.

Erkie spoke well when he said artists should never base themselves on that audience. Seeing as I had no musical theory at that point, I fell into that trap. It's not a pleasent place let me tell you, you begin to hate what you make, and hating what you make is a sure way to die horribly and slowely.

So yes, I just wanted to say what was said ample times already ;).

Good day.

Hmm, what you want may be quite difficult to produce, especially to the quality you want it. Of course i'll assist by searching for some potential candidates, but songs with qualities such as Megadeath are probably not going to be found in the classical rock genre, and more heavy metal.

It also helps the artist if they actually saw some of the flash and the style you present. I know it's quite a demanding request, but I suppose it would help the artists here, to see screenshots of the flash to determine what would better suit it.

Forum: Flash

I second authorblue's objection. this thread should be a place for flash authors to request specific pieces as well. This place is going to turn into a mess with "LIZTEN TO MY TRAKS!" and it will be even harder to find good songs on there then just browsing the audio portal.

I reckon a whole new forum section should be created as a "Request Corner" or something like that, so that flash authors may request pieces, and Audio artists can create advertisement threads for their music. Don't tell me that we can do that already in the Audio Forum, because we can't.

But seeing as we can't do that, or maybe just not yet, in order to keep things organized perhaps we can have two threads. One "Audio For your Flashes", and another "Audio Requests for your Flashes".

In this sense we are removing two groups from posting in one thread, which WILL get bloated, and then die.

Lets see somebody steal THAT! It's officially too big to steal. I lawl at the image.

Having people post their songs up one by one like this isn't going to be very useful for anybody. Maybe a list that is updated every once in a while like the MAC6 list. Otherwise this is going to turn into another advertisement thread and we all know how that turned out.

That is not the point. Many flash artists have said that going through the massive database of music is tiresome. This is to trim away all the crap that they might now want.

So let me be the first to advertise a battle energetic piece, possible for flashes. If anybody wants me to turn it into a loopable version, i'd be willing.

Name: _-={The Tank's Thunder}=-_
Genre: Instrumental/Orchestrated
Key Words: Battle, Raw, Energetic, Solemn

I hope this helps get the thread in the right direction.

Of course I will support this thread in any way possible as well.

I actually think requests would be more beneficial for the flash artists, and in all honesty I think thats what this thread should be for equally as much as advertising.

Edirol Orchestra has some good Celesta/Tubuler Bells - 130mb's

Ethnosphere has some excellent chimes - 200 or so mb's

East West Gold has awesome Bells - 13gb's

SoundFonts is also an incredible resource for singular sounds like bells.

Hope that helps.

Holy, I just posted a few times because it all seemed like a little harmless fun, you guys get too serious X_X.

The thread also turned into a forgey, even without Chron's blessing, so I guess this is my last feeble attempt of saying lets just stop. If nobody posts to buy as is mentioned, then just let the thread die, if you want to support him then post away, there really should be no more reason to insult each other.

I am just so insanely happy that these contest things are coming along well. I must give you props Rucklo, I would have never been able to build such an intricate design, and actually have awards that would mean something. That is after all the biggest hole in the contests, a prize that people will shoot for.

The other problem of course, is the waiting. Waiting for weeks and weeks without ZOMG new additions and news every day makes it seem like the contest is dying. To those who think like that, stop it >:(.

So where many have failed (myself included), you succeeded, and so I wanted to personally give you props. This contest was also the venom that forced me back to my friends here, though i'm not nearly as available as I wish I was... I sigh... *sigh*.

So yes, good stuff. I'm going to go listen to some of the entries, before we try to become closer to the flash section, I feel we should all become a tighter community first.
