Okay, thanks. So my best bet is to record my voice into a .wav first, and import it into a FL project for auto-tuning, and vocoding it in another project so to speak? Also, melodyne seems like a good program. I'll have to try that.

I managed to contact the guy who made the song (!) and apparently, he used something called "Antares Auto-Tune Evo Pitch Correcting Plug-In", I'm gonna google it and see with I find :D

There's actually a tutorial within FL that teaches you how to use its vocoder properly, and if you listen to what they come out with it sounds fairly similar to what you are looking for.

Okay, I'll give that a try then. Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it!

Get one of those type-talk synths, export the resulting files, load it into a sampler and map it to a keyboard/the piano roll.

A type-talk synth? Like the Text-To-Speech "Microsoft Sam" kind of deal? 'Cause that's not really what I'm looking for. The ones from the song I linked to are regular vocals from the beginning, and Furries in a Blender has somehow managed to create this awesome vocoder-sounding out of them, If you want to hear the original, it's based on this youtube vid - Full Life Consequences

srsly, the fruity vocoder is pretty powerful,if you don't have the right carrier, make a good carrier. the fruity vocoder is a great vocoder.

Okay, yeah I guess i could create a better carrier somehow, but that's not the important bit. I want to make my vocals sound similar to those that Furries in a Blender use in the "John Freeman" song, which i linked to in my first post. That's what i reallyneed help with, and if I can use the Fruity Vocoder in accomplishing this, that's great! :3

Hello... I'm using FLStudio8 (3GB), but I've got a problem. I can't get the volume I want on my music, because if I crank up the volume knobs on the different instruments, the sound will get distorted. If I turn up the master volume, the same thing happens. Is there an easy way to fix this? I haven't tried, but in a worst case scenario, I would have to import the mp3 into another program to raise to volume, right? That would be tedious if I just wanna preview the song. Oh, and another thing, where do I get the best "electronic"-sounding percussion? Like an ambient or electro VST. Replies are much appreciated!
