Hello Newgrounds,
Well, I've reached that point in my latest project where I am in need of voice actors. I have about seven open slots. It's a Batman movie. Here's a little rundown of what I'm looking for...
-Five S.W.A.T. team members. You don't necessarily have to sound old, but I don't want people who sound extremely young either.
-Harvey Bullock. If any of you don't know who Harvey Bullock is, look him up on youtube. Find something from him that comes from Batman the animated series. If you can come even close to that voice AND accent, I'll consider you.
- Commissioner Gordon. Now I'm pretty positive I already have Gordon picked, but if you think you can pull it off, and I mean REALLY pull it off, go ahead and try and I'll give it some thought.
Anyone interested can shoot me a PM on this site or email me at Deadpool175@aol.com. If you have voice samples of ANY kind, please email them. I don't want to have to send out a script just yet, but I will if I have to. Good luck everyone and thanks for your time.
P.S. Here's a link to the teaser trailer for what you'd be trying out for.

Looks pretty good. Develop a story, touch it up (obviously) and it'll be top notch. I'm assuming that last shot is going to have a bunch of enemies surrounding him. That would be a cool note to end on. If you have nothing else to do, I'd say finish it.

Tablets actually aren't that expensive. I got mine for $140, but its real nice. You could get one for as little as $60-100 at Best Buy or even cheaper online. You don't want a used one.
Well I'm not looking for anything extravagant. I just want something where I can make a building, and then change the angle. Thanks for the tips though guys.
Anyone know of a good 3D program for flash? I want to create some buildings for my new flash and give them a real dynamic perspective. Anyone know of anything good and relatively easy to use?

I don't understand what's wrong with bones, I've waited many years for those things and they work fine for me.
Well my gripe is this. Lets say I make the armature move for 15 frames and I want to cut a few frames in between so it lasts like 8 frames instead. Normally I'd just highlight a few frames in between and delete them to make the tween shorter. But with this it highlights the entire layer, so I can't do it.
So I just got the newest version of flash (Adobe flash CS5) and I have to say, I hate it. I've been using Macromedia Flash 8 for years and it's great. I figured I'd try out the Adobe version because I hear it has some cool features. Only problem is they're all a pain in the ass. Don't get me wrong, I know it takes a while to pick up these kinds of things, but it seems like they didn't think alot of things through. For example, the bone feature is a mess. The "3D" feature can be achieved simply with the free transform tool. It's literally the same thing. The setup, is completely backwards compared to Macromedia, etc.
Anyway, I'm done complaining. I'm just curious to know, am I alone in this. Am I the only one that hates the Adobe flash compared to Flash 8?
There's a shot in my movie where I want the picture to go from black and white to color. Anyone know a filter that can do this?
Anyone know how to turn a certain layer on and off using actionscript? I want to make a feature that can turn subtitles on or off. Help....
Never mind I just read the rules. Sorry about that. I'll get working.
Just so I'm clear on this, are these supposed to be funny or serious? Or can we do either one?
Haha perhaps you could relay the message to him that he's more than welcome to view my most recent release "Tactical Directive Part 1". It doesn't have voices, but it will, in which case I'll remove that version and re-release it with voices. But if he's strictly looking at artwork, he can check it out.

man i could rock as a secretary
I'd like to give it a shot. However, my microphone is at my dad's house so I'll have to go get it tomorrow and send you the sound as soon as possible.
If you're talking about timing pertaining to the sound not syncing correctly, I think I can help. Just let me know.
This is a longshot and probably wont work, but it's possible.
Try making a new flash project and importing the swf file into your project. If it doesn't screw it up (which it most likely will) then export it as an avi or mov file. You'll most likely lose the sound tho on the off chance it does work. That's the best advice I can give.
I might like to join and I'd be willing to show some work. What's the deadline though?
The first step is learning flash. Personally, I tought myself how to use it, but it took a long time. I picked up new techniques as I went along. You first project isn't going to be what you expect it to be because you're still learning, but eventually you'll find that there's alot you can do with the program. The next thing is to figure out what kind of flash movies you want to make; comedies, action, drama, etc. Once you figure out which one best suits you, you can apply those techniques to fit your movie. I started using flash about seven years ago. I've learned alot and feel each of my projects are better than the previous ones. However, I still have alot to learn. Hope that's a start.

Wow. Thanks alot for all the responses guys. At first I had none so I was about to give up on the forum searching. All of you please feel free to check out the movie and let me know what part you would be interested in. I want to give these roles to people who really want them and feel they can do a good job with them. Everyone can either just respond to this post, PM me or email me at deadpool175@aol.com
Again. Thank you very much for all the responses.

So a few weeks ago I released my new series called Tactical Directive. At first, I was against putting voices into the movie, but after a long talk with my uncle, I was convinced; I need voices. So I am officially looking for voice actors at this point. If anyone is interested, knows someone who is interested, or knows a good site to find people who are interested, please let me know.
Below are the links to the movies I released that I am now looking to dub in voices for. If you're interested, watch it and decide which character you might feel you have the right voice for. If and when anyone finds a voice they'd like to try, please private message me or email me at deadpool175@aol.com and we'll go from there. Thank you.

Yeah I was just wondering how other flash thumbnails don't have that loss in quality. Thanks though.
Every time I export a GIF image for a flash thumbnail, it comes out all distorted with a downgrade in color. Why does this happen and how do I avoid it?
Below is an example...
Hey guys, I just posted my new flash movie up here a few hours ago. If anyone's interested check it out. It's part one of a three-part series dealing with crime and corruption in L.A.

Can't quite make it then :( I'm submitting the movie its in tomorrow.

Did you try it without the scene that freezes in there at all (assuming there are more after it)? 'cuz if that works, then you know it's an issue with that particular scene. And if that's the case... did you try my other suggestion of putting the scene that freezes in a new separate file (by itself) and testing that? Did it play through?
Tried all of that. The problem is that flash player will only play 16000 frames, after that, it stops. I have no choice but to split the movie into two separate movies. Sucks. Thanks for all of your help though. I appreciate it. I hope you watch the movie and enjoy it when I release it tomorrow.

Well I think the limit for a single flash movie can only be 16000 frames because the movie freezes at the same time no matter how i manipulate the scene. for instance, the scene that freezes, I cut it from the scene it was in, deleted the scene, and posted it in the previous scene. got the same result. I may just have to throw in the towel and split the movie, which really really sucks.
