It's "Draw the person above you" not "Draw the person that drew you" btw. So sorry KushClock and WeHaveFreshCookies don't have to draw you.

Every picture you post seems to be worse than the last one. I would really like you to put more effort in your art. That way poeple can also give criticism that will help you.

Well I post em a little out of order. The last ones I finished were those for the Clocktopia Art Gallery. And I don't think there's something wrong with posting doodles inbetween, is it?

Still I see your point, thanks for your feedback.... here's one of those latest pics.

Here's another doodle. I was messing around with the ink tool in GIMP, therefore the varying line strength.

Some kind of doodly tribute to Doug Savage and his Savage Chickens.

Did I already say, that it's pretty quite in here?

Ashman is right we are doing it wrong. I go with Kakashi's version.

Looks interesting and good, but I also prefer the logo NG has now. And the tank gun looks a little small too me.

Got some more pieces?

Here comes the original doodle. When the idea came into my mind I quickly sketched it to make sure I don't forget it, that was before I learned anything here. You can see it's been a long way....

A great first post dude.

Thank you.

Here comes another one. I submitted this one to the art portal about two months ago. For your entertainment I will also post the original doodle afterwards. And yes I know it's a bad pun.

Thanks for the compliments Joshsouza. Interesting observation Lintire I will try to keep that in mind and work out more details in future pics.

Now for something even less detailed: a doodle. As I said before I have an affinity for interesting or funny nicknames.

Ok here comes another one. NecroClock once asked for a new logo (thread), yep a FREE logo, and got flamed accordingly.

I gave it a try even though I know free requests are not very welcome and shouldn't be encouraged, but I have an affinity for interesting usernames. (I also tried to participate in the "Draw the person above you" thread, but I epically failed to draw a man made of ash so I never finished it)

Enough talk here comes the pic:

Smudgy smudgy smudgy.... all done with two colours, brush dynamics of the pen set to "colour" and smudge tool to shape the sitting person. Title "Alone" (I know that's cheesy).

Thanks alot.

Here's another drawing. I once asked for help with it here in the forum and with some advice it resulted in this version. If you want to know how it looked before, you can find it here.

Basically I was practicing the shading of round objects when I started this.

Hey everyone, this is going to be my personal art thread. Feel free to leave some feedback and although some pics are just sketches or maybe even just for fun, constructive criticism is always appreciated.

On a side note: When I started to visit the art forums there was no drawing skill left in my hands. Anything I could draw as a kid or at school was gone. I have learned everyting I can draw so far from the advice the art forum regulars gave to others, hence the title of my thread. So yeah, thanks to you guys and girls.

Let's start with some simple practice I did with GIMP and my Wacom Bamboo.... a feather!

But be aware that some of the more experienced artists can give you better and more detailed feedback. I forgot to mention that the body needs shading. You added some shading to the head and to one of your other deadpool pics, but this one is still missing some shading.

Hooray Newgrounds. Next step: World domination!

But honestly, Newgrounds is much better than many sites on that list. The reason why NG isn't known by an even bigger audience is that almost everything is allowed. It's not selling itself out and the users decide what stays on the site.

But porn and spam deters many people from visiting the site regularly or sharing the site with their family and friends.

Still that's the soul of Newgrounds and that's because the user base maybe a little smaller but therefore solid and it has earned it's place internet history.

Just my cheesy two cents.... NG I ruv u!

Generally the lines and the anatomy need a little refinement, but I think it's not bad so far. I like the pose you chose for him. He just looks kinda rough, so you should work out some details and give him a smaller head, it almost looks like a chibi version. If you spend more time on this, it could be a really good piece of art.

You should consider adding backgrounds to your drawings, they look kinda blank. Just thinking....

Response to: NM 13 Which Character?! Posted August 23rd, 2010 in Art

I would recommend the black one, but with the eye from the grey one. And as this seems to be your first bigger animation project, don't worry about the character being simple, he's easier to animate like that. I just think you should change the background, because it could be too much black in black.

So far the style of the character and the background look like they match.

Response to: Futuristic Painting Set Posted August 21st, 2010 in Art

The remind me of those blue bonus stage portals from the first Turok game. :P

But without the actual description they would just look like random blue swirls. Sorry if that sounds harsh. I went to the high res versions in the portal and then I could see the space background.

I can't much of an advice here, I would just refine both pics too make them look less splotchy. Things in nature may look random, but there is an order in this randomness - ask Fibonacci. ^^
I hope this is not too far off topic.

And you could maybe add a planet or distant star somewhere, too make clear that it's a space scene even without reading the description or watching the fullview.

Response to: Entrys of various delineation Posted August 20th, 2010 in Art

Looks good, but did you give him checkered eyes on purpose? Anyway, I think it's pretty funny.

The checkers on the arm shouldn't align with those on the body part. Other than that, it's nice.

So I guess, this is going to be your official art thread? Just want to mention, that you should keep all of your stuff in one thread.

The drawing looks good. Kinda like a new cartoon interpretation of Ifrit from Final Fantasy.

Response to: need comments on correcting my art Posted August 19th, 2010 in Art

Mmmkay, the girl's colouring seems nice, but the dark lines on the lower legs look strange.

For the dude, the colours are too saturated, you must find different colours, that are more pleasing to the eye. And it seems you put way less effort into colouring him than colouring the woman.

Still, I kinda prefer this one to the first one.

Welcome! Your stuff looks pretty good. You should consider uploading more drawings to this thread or (as the thread name isn't very fitting) ask a Mod if it's ok to create a new personal art thread. That way more art forum visitors will see your art and discuss it with you. People here prefer posted pics from following links. Have a nice time!
