Are you sure? Ornery said it CAN be shown, but they'd PREFER if it stayed hidden.

Agreed though, it would be a trillion times more fun if everyone would keep it secret until the end.

It's on page two of the portal already.

In the top right corner of the portal there are four buttons: E, T, M & A
A covers adult rated pics and is turned off by default. Click the A and you should see your pic (and many other adult rated pics).

Since the art portal works again I was finally able to submit my entry:
Beware of the Jelly Monster! It can shoot possibly harmful (or harmless) liquids from the glands all over its body.
I think PsychoGoldfish's post are really convincing and I agree. The chat party sounds like both a good compromise and a lot of fun.
I don't agree with the Clock Day thing though. I love Clock Day.
And as I said, the name would be Pico Day, but you could give out a theme or direction that you are looking for. As long as you promote it well enough it should work out.

I think the admins know about the bug, which is something that developed on Friday.
They may get round to solving it this week, now that the weekend is over.
You are right, of course, but I wasn't sure if they knew about the scouting issue too.
Either way the issue seems to be solved. Would be great to know if anybody who posted here, still has problems uploading.
At 1/14/13 12:56 AM, HandsomeJake wrote: KeyMasterRyuko just scouted me and I'm getting the same thing.
Oh dear, seems like not only the art upload is affected.
If you get another scouting offer, please save it until you hear something about the portal being fixed. Keep an eye on this thread, because I am sure someone will post a relevant reply here. It can take some days but your scouting invite so doesn't expire. If it's removed in the process of fixing the portal pm one of the users that offered to scout you and explain the situation.
You could also explain the bug you encountered to liljim, I am sure he'll appreciate your help.

I will upload once that art portal glitch is fixed, sorry that I couldn't upload that day.
Also, the flood of boobs has been noticed by users and approved by Tom Fulp himself:

Currently everybody encounters that problem. No new art has been submitted to the portal for at least more than 20 hours. The staff has been informed and is trying to fix the problem.
I couldn't upload any art yesterday either.

when I push the submmit button, tried upload a different art and the same thing, any advice?
There are some things you can try that worked for different people in the past:
Try another browser.
Try resaving the file under a different name.
Try uploading the file from a different folder (e.g. Pictures directory or a subfolder of it)
Try refreshing the upload page after the failed upload attempt and try once more.
IF anything of this helped, please tell us. It might help others in the future.
Congrats to the Winter Movie winners! Makes me glad to see chluaid submitting something to NG.
About Pico Day, I'd recommend NOT changing the name, but make "New Day" or "It's a new day" the theme for this year. Also, make an extra newspost for it and promote it with different threads in the forums. Good chance to also animators, programmers, musicians and artists for their ideas while making them aware of the theme. Also, a thread in General for a open discussion and silly fun for everyone.
Just my two cents, but I am confident it could help make the day even more fun for everyone.

Overall a quality whoring thread. 'Steampunk Kim and Amy' is my favourite so far.
I would like to see another Space Monkey... in space. But an evil one. That means he's got an eyepatch or a mustache or anything else that is like.... a real proof of evilness. You decide.

I made the spikes less pointy, but I won't make any more changes to this. If you don't want to use this, no prob.

I've left it whole just in case you wanted something more diverse, but you can crop off the sides and body yourself, I reckon.
Oops, seems like you posted this right after I started. I hope there is some use for this anyway:
At 1/6/13 09:12 PM, SwagMuffin wrote: Hmmm, I can't seem to submit my art, is anyone else having this problem?
That's a common issue lately.
The usual replies that might help you:
1. What browser are you using? Try if another one works.
2. Try refreshing the art submission page when an error occurs during the upload.
3. Try resaving your image file under a different filename or different directory (e.g. 'Pictures' directory)
You could also try saving your art in a different directory on your computer. For example, uploading from the "Pictures" directory might work while a folder on the desktop might not work (or the other way around). It's a weird issue really.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope the next one will be as succesful or rather even more succesful than the previous one. With the many new features & redesign in 2012 and the mobile theme in the making, NG seems ready for whatever might happen. Best of luck to all the creative folks on here.

Can't talk about style if you haven't seen test-object (Closely followed by the crazy mind that is called ZaneZansorrow)
Most Improved Artist - Which artist has improved in their skills and abilities the most?
Lintire, of course it's harder to see improvement if someone was good before already, but this guy just made leap after leap.
Most Underrated Artist - Which artist just isn't getting the attention they deserve for their awesome abilities?
lovingthedark. It's less that people underestimate her, but more that she doesn't show her skils as regularly.
Best Newcomer - Who's the best person to have shown up this year?
Hard to pick one this year, so I am going with bigCman321. He posted a good portion of useful advice and good art over the year and started posting in January.
Most Helpful Poster - Who is always full of useful tips and helpful hints and links for others?
big-jonny-13, his tutorials and helpful links are always ready, waiting to be shot at you. 'Ask and thou shalt receive.'
Best Critic - Who knows how to really break down a piece and offer some feedback that is both critical and constructive?
Lintire, he can break you down and build you up again, even though he forgets the 'build up' part sometimes. :P
Best Art Regular - Who exemplifies all of the characteristics that a regular should entail?
ReNaeNae
Most Missed Regular - Which face from the past do you miss the most?
Ashman. BlackMarketKraig and BizarreJoe, equally, but Ash gets my vote.
Most Fun Thread - Which thread provided the most entertainment and joy?
Show me your Pokemanz!, despite the annoying background story and because it was incredibly hilarious.
Most Helpful Thread - Which thread brought about the most thoughtful discussions and provided help for everyone?
Stealing Zane's smart choice and say Art Forum Lounge, it's the hivemind of the forum.
Favourite Showcase Thread - Which personal art thread do you always love to see updated?
Zanezansorrow's Personal Art Thread, without a doubt.
Thanks for hosting this again, Jonny. It sure was hard to choose. I probably forgot many important and great people. Just consider yourself picked as second (or third) for every category, if you read this.

Some users were able to get around the error when they either resaved the image under a different name or a different location / directory.
For example, one user got the error when trying to upload a file from the desktop and its subfolders, but managed to upload from the "pictures" directory.
I know it sounds weird, but it's worth a try.
Please let us know if this resolved your issue or if you managed to solve it otherwise. Your answer might help other users that come across the same problem.
I hope this is ok, since I wouldn't be able to change anything until tomorrow and even then, only if the world does not end.

Don't worry ToaS has seen my current WIP and it will be ready. I'd post it here, but I am using iPhone at the moment.
Generally, I am very sorry for being so late. Work in the night shift, family and charity work during christmas time stole my precious NG time.
The scribbly grass still looks awful and clashes with the rest of the pic. I'd say either make it plain green and indicate the form with the edge of a larger shadow kinda like you did with the tree or add texture it with alternately darker and lighter brush strokes of different tones of green to make it look somewhat like photoshops infamous grass brush.
Both are not perfect solutions I guess, but they could at least go with the kind of shading you got going on already.
I like the bamboo so far.
Good luck.
Good news!
I would like to see a dinosaur with a top hat, please.
