Any ideas on how to do this in Photoshop?

I may be a little slow, but I don't understand your question. Try to rephrase it..

Sure, I will post it within a few days. I just thought that the barrels were needed to have people get the Donkey Kong reference you know :)

Damn.. Fail :P I had the feeling as I started that I should have done some research on the whole isometric this since it is something I hardly know anything about. I did use a Isometric grid however. Just not that precise. Just to get the angels somewhat right. But I must say, I don't think photoshop was very good for making pixel art.

This was more tricky than I thougt it would be. I could not figure out how to make PS enlarge the picture without bluring it.

Everyone likes it because everyone likes monkeys.
Even Dennis Hopper.

That is almost exactly what I wrote as my going out line in the rapport that followed the comic for the application. Well.. Almost. Pretty close. Close enough.

Thanks, I'm glad you think so. This is not a subject I would have adressed if it wasn't because of the school application, and exactly because of the reasons you said. It's cliché, it's in grave danger of making me look like a douchebag, and often it's just plain boring. Looking back I must have been mad :P

If there is any mistakes then it is probably my fault :P
It's not completely random. I think Bush's way of doing things fits fine with the point I was trying to get across. But yes, it was mostly because I thought it was funny.

Just to make sure, the pic you're having trouble with isn't this or this?

I hve checked. And that is not problem. I think it's the internet. It just bothers me since I have been working like a madman on this comic for the last week and now I can show it..

Great expression. No big problems with the hands in my opinion. The hip however looks a bit off. Her whole lower body seems to be in a (slightly) akward angel towards the viewer compared to the upper body that looks like it's horizontial.

COMRADES! I need your help. I need one of those pictures of George Bush where he is make that goofy monkey mouth. And in the largest possible resolution. The ones I have been able to find were pretty crappy, sizewise. Pehaps one of you know of some dark corner of the interwebs were such picture can be found.
