God this post is way too risky, I dont oppose the idea of drawing Muhammad, but I do not support it when it gets out of hand like this. Free speech is not being threatened no one is trying to do away with it, its like not saying "BOMB" or "Fire" at an airport. It brings up hurtful feelings and the more important fact is it can cause a panic. Same with this.
The bottom line is this, my personal opinion says do what ever the hell you want I don't care, but that would be ignorant. Don't do this or say it as a sign of "Fighting for Free Speech", because thats a false flag. Do do this as a sign of respect, Why do you think they want to kill us anyway?

Lastly I believe the emphasis on the family just goes to such an extreme that it totally disregards the idea of individuality.

Also, if you have not heard the guy who filmed and produced Restrepo was killed last month in Libya. He was doing something similar to Restrepo documenting what was going on over there. So it really puts into perspective how much danger he was really in while filming there.

Yea I heard about that, however I'm not really surprised that he would die there and not Afghanistan. They were fighting in a fort for relatively most of the film, and I think the only time he was in any true danger was when he was out on patrols. Id find it more dangerous to be with a less professional military in a revolution where there is no clear defined or stable army to help you.
Just finished watching Restrepo, pretty powerful film if you ask me, I was wondering if any one else saw the movie. It may not be an action-buster, but its the real story of what these guys went through. I thought it was very interesting to see their reactions and interviews in the movie, and there were some scenes where it got very intense.
All in all a good film and I highly recommend it to any one who would be interested. So NG if you saw it any thoughts?
