How hard can it be to ignore someone you don't like? Coming at him was completely uncalled for and unnecessary when he was just trying to play along.

This is my first post here - it was suggested that I look for an artist here by the reddit gamedev community.

I released my first iOS game today and the assets are in some need of serious work. Here's the iTunes link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/save-penguin-strategy-puzzle /id570590917?mt=8

I'd like to keep the same kind of feel (cute, cartoony, playful, not deadly, a bit of whimsy).

If anyone is interested I'd love to chat!

So is this for the second game or a remake of the first one? If it's a payed gig or one where the artist would recieve a percentage from sales I'm quite keen! Some examples http://luckyde.deviantart.com/gallery/ www.spikescomic.com/reel.m4v
Thanks!

Ok scratch that last posts, after enough messing around this software is amaaazing. It does a waaaay better job than illustrator cs3 of cs5 and considering the fact i only use custom settings on both of those apps and this still made more accuare linework than either of them... this kicks ass! (the desktop version) Thanks carriooon :)

Mind you illustrator takes time to load too where as this doesnt, but i'm quite happy someone's made software like this. Thanks for sharing

looks good, a bit too little to judge at this stage... you should animate some smooth transitions between the menu options like a slide right or down of the content section. Also "#gallerys" shouldn't that be galleries?

I've actually torrented a full 3 day course in human anatomy, and have been bing practicing to reach that level. Hvae you guys ever heard of Neil Fontaine?

his cartooning skills look preeeeeeeeetty bad.

Response to: My Art Thread Re-do Posted November 14th, 2012 in Art

I had no idea that was the case. Still, his guidance is very structured towards from-the-ground-up learning, and it's all very easy on the eye (and pretty hilarious, some of the outdated terminology present in the books). Sorry I didn't name drop the ones you know of. I am actually salivating at Vilppu.

Haha all good dude, nothing personal i just get sick of hearing bout circlehead loomis, Vilppu is amazing when learning life drawing, he puts so much info into his lessons i cant survive more than 2 at a time my head hurts too much haha

All of Andrew Loomis' books can be downloaded here for free as .pdfs and the one you want is Figure Drawing For All It's Worth. Although really, you want it all, because it's all good good good good stuff.

Why is it that everyone and their mom constantly give loomis as generic art advise, there are way better artists to study and he's not the end all be all of art skill. Glen Vilpu, Burne Hogarth, Bridgeman,Nicolaides or for Hiryu the McDonalds coloring books, which i'm sure he won't even finish coloring until first he posts them here 5 times asking for advice and not taking it.

Why do you all just absolutely hate me? If there's anything I could do to change, what would it be?

You constantly ask for advise and not take it afterwords

You CONSTANTLY bump your thread when it's at the bottom of the thread list begging for advise instead of trying to figure things out on your own

You NEVER figure things out on your own and DEMAND being spoon feed information which you barely fucking use

You now post in other people's threads giving out a)bad adviseb) advise which you cant even take for your own f-ing artor both

You would be THE WORST art school student since you never take the time to improve or listen to that god damn advise and keep on making anime girls calling them your f-ing style.

You're a 20 something year old with the improvement mentality of a 14 year old girl - "Everything i do is amazing! How can it not be, I made it!'

Your art isn't horrible, it's bad, but not horrible. You're just really really reallyfucking annoying and demand to be the centre of attention at all times

There's more i'm sure , I just haven't had my morning coffee yet

In one thread I actually requested a mod to delete the posts between and Johnny and Hiryu because it didn't focus on the topic at hand, which in that specific case was a wizard design for an Ipad platformer.

Yes, but Hiryu was talking out of his ass and he was giving advise he himself refuses to take... Johny only pointed it out... Like in most of the treads he posts! If the mods are gonna remove johnny's post why not hiryu's bs

Seriously if you're gonna let the annoying kid in the courtyard be annoying without slapping him every once in a while how's he gonna learn? By ignoring him? We tried that with his own thread and he kept bumping it begging for attention until he got it. This technique works with normal people, not him

Response to: Art Forum Lounge Posted November 4th, 2012 in Art

so to whoever deleted johnny's responces to Hiruy... why? He pointed out the obvious and hiryu's getting away with too much, and if someone points out how ridiculous some of his statetemts are their posts get deleted... then the next person does and their posts get deleted... if someone wants to delete my post too and then pm why that would be great too as long as i get why this is going on.
