aha
At 12/18/12 08:04 PM, Template88 wrote: lul lucky, that doesnt look like it was made in flash, it looks like it was made in illustrator, show me the source page not the image where the artist claims it was done in flash
The artist was me I dont have the source file anymore, i made it on my Dell 5 houses ago
actually here's something i did at 16, took me 3-4 days, it was a straight up trace. But it wasn't cell shading so there
http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs11/f/2006/186/a/7/beetle.png I used the blur option on some of the top colors to make em rastery. I dont do that shit anymore because it is straight up tracing, but you can indeed replicate blurry and raster looks in a vector software if you try enough
You've gone over the line by saying flash is not a bad tool for coloring. Please show me a decent painting done in flash. Anything. Anything that isn't simple cel shading.
And why is cel shading simple? Your personal line maybe, also coloring isn't painting last time i checked. When I update my DA vector artist watch list I'll send you some art. Mean time patience, I cant be arsed scouting the internet to prove a point

Don't give advise saying not to use a tool, he may find it perfect for him flash is not a bad tool for drawing... OR coloring. It's not the best, but again let them decide for themselves. Suggest alternatives instead in a nice way

Based upon my recipe, it was eggs, cream, milk, sugar, nutmeg and brandy.
Eggscalus should team up with savyNachos and start a food themed art collab

Hey, can some of you go and see the thing that i posted? I really want some opinions, because i love to hear what the people says of my work, criticizing constructive or not not constructive. {:D
a)i couldn't understand the story
b)the forward and back controls were REALLY annoying, it kept skipping pages, when switching pages add a condition where Left or Right key != (is not) down so that it doesnt keep moving right and left if you hold down on the buttons

i just got my tablet the other day as an early christmas gift... i practised hard and actually got the hang of it pretty quickly with the handling.some of the PROGRAM controls i need to work out. but the pad it's self is awesome.
i posted a piece of art that took me hours, days, to color with the tablet. no one likes it.
you wouldn't be related to an ex-forum member would you....
Nah just kidding, but seriously suck it up you'll get bad reviews all the time, it's normal. Also know who the demographic of the sites you're submitting your stuff is. If you submit a pony to NG and DA chances are it'll get different types of comments. You're still very much a begginer so do some basic art training before going out to do your own thing. Commitment over time is what it takes to get great reviews ;)

Which I find odd, since the development of this section was a knee-jerk to NG's anouncement of the art portal.
So, basically, they're saying their art and audio sections blow
they just want it to be EXCELLENT

I know the dude in rl, i'm pretty sure he does
Well that brings up an interesting question
If Kiwi is right (citations needed) how much could you alter something until it is no longer the same thing
Like if you wanted to make something that looked like Mario, how close could you get to Mario until it is too much like Mario?
its perfectly legal to make fanart of mario or make alterations for mario as long as it's non profit. Watch this if you have the time and are interested in the subject http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKBsTUjd910

I'm taking a forum break for christmas(apart from stickam)
What I don't get is why kids go to Newgrounds for porn. There are many, many, so fucking many sites better suited to that and the stuff on Newgrounds is usually poorly drawn and not all that explicit; case in point, the Sally picture.
Lint you forget for the longest time one of the buttons above was the ADULT section, general public's perceptions are hard to reprogram

haha idk bout that, i still have a long way to go till i can draw even half those poses properly. It certainly helped me figure out drawing really really odd angles!
