TV settings Posted May 9th, 2012 in General

I can't seem to get the picture settings on my TV right. It doesn't seem to matter what I set the screen to the picture is to wide for the tv so the sides of the picture get cut off. Can any tell me what I could do to fix that? I think my tv is a 22 inch screen.

Response to: USDA buys pink slime for schools Posted April 24th, 2012 in Politics

It amazes me how people are getting so worked up over ground beef. People have been eating the stuff for god knows how long, but call it pink slime and suddenly everyone gets worked up over it. What's next, calling ground pork brown slime.

can't connect to e-mail on i-pod Posted February 11th, 2012 in Mobile

I can't seem to connect to my email account on my ipod touch. Every time I put the password in it says it is incorrect, I know the password is right so there has got to be something else wrong. Right now the only reason I can think of is because I've changed the password, but I can't see why that would be the problem. Can anyone help?

Gulf of America Posted February 9th, 2012 in Politics

So a democrat representative wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America.

Just how stupid is this guy. For one it is completely unnecessary and second we don't own the gulf, so I don't think it is even legal for us to do so. Either way it is a stupid idea.

Easy for you to say. Learning another language, expressly when you get older is difficult. Besides the US has done just fine without an official language.

How do you spot the differene between dogs playing and dogs getting into a fight.

Response to: - The Regulars Lounge Thread - Posted October 6th, 2011 in Politics

Got ourselves another dog today so the other one could have some company, she is home by herself so much that it would be nice for her to have someone to spend some time with; fun thing is that they are half-sisters.

Start some volunteer construction work for Habitat for Humanity for every Friday this month for a service learning project. Six hour shift the first three Fridays and a two hour shift the last one. Shouldn't be all that hard, I've had ten to twelve hour days on the farm and it could be a nice experience.

Response to: Indiana Ban on Gay Marriage Posted August 18th, 2011 in Politics

As you said, it doesn't really matter whether or not this passes the general vote because in the long run because same-sex marriage will eventually be legal across the country, I did a research paper comparing and contrast gay rights and civil rights movements last semester, and saw the already to familiar pattern, history repeats itself.

Response to: Hiroshima and Nagasaki justified? Posted August 10th, 2011 in Politics

Japan had nothing left to fight with. They had been fighting the longest of any the nations. they had very little man power to fight with anything, their oil supply was cut, and they were ready to surrender, their one stipulation (before the bombs were even droped) was to keep the emperor, that was it, and after the bombs were dropped they got to keep their emperor and from what I remembered in my history class last semester many high ranking officers thought that dropping the bombs was unnecessary. It may of been more of a statment to the Soviets then anything.

Response to: London Riots Posted August 9th, 2011 in Politics

So let me get this straight, a man was shot and killed for shooting at an officer and people somehow found justification in rioting about it? From what the artical said the people he knew at least had some reasons to be pretty upset about it, but the rest doesn't make sense to me.

After credit scenes? Posted July 30th, 2011 in General

I know that this is kind of a late question to be asking considering so many movies do it now a days, but what is the point to after credit scenes. What it the point of making us sit through credits just to see a scene at the end that they could easly put before the credits. They already got our money from buying the tickets or dvd/blue-ray, so I can't see it being for more money.

I know it sounds like I'm complaining but I'm not, I'm just curious.

I wouldn't say that the age of the person matters, it's their condition, if they can barely react to a situation then they probably shouldn't drive anymore, my great uncle has had his license taken away because of the accidents he has caused, only a few, luckily no one was killed, though I'm not sure about injured.

Even though the clinic here in Mankato is like a five or more minute drive away, the doctor is too scared to do it and wants me to go to the clinic in Rochester, seriously, what are they afraid of.

Response to: - The Regulars Lounge Thread - Posted February 28th, 2011 in Politics

Doctors are being a pain in the ass lately, prior to 3 years ago, I used to have to go have to Rochester, MN to get checked on for an endoscopy, then they decided to get it done closer to home here in Mankato, now the doctor who use to do it seems to of left and the new one for some reason is too scared to do an endoscopy on me, so they want to send me back to Rochester, a good 2 hour drive, and on top of all that they won't refill one of my pills, what the hell is going on.

A New Country Posted February 8th, 2011 in Politics

So it appears that Southern Sudan will soon be its own country soon.
Judging by the article it seems that they have a lot of work ahead of them, they seem to be have a lot of work ahead of them, they are not that well developed, The oil industry will likely take advantage of this to get at the oil they have. There is also the possibility that the Muslims and Christens could start fighting each other again.

I've asked a couple of times why it is taking so long, the first time was about a day or so before I should of recived it, but it hadn't been shipped yet, so they changed the delivery speed from free shipping to standered for free and changed the delivery date, they say they were low on stock when I ordered it, the day came still hadn't been shipped so now I'm waiting for an email for a delivery date, the second complaint was yesterday they said they will be able to ship it on 25th, I made the order on the 31st of december.
