Topic: 300 = Best Movie Evar

Posted: 03/10/07 12:32 PM

Forum: General

I just knew I would find this topic in General somewhere lol, but yea I saw the movie last night and its probably one of my favorites. I just want to say to all the douche bags out there who have to get all technical and shit and look for every flaw in a movie that you need to shut the hell up. 300 was simply beautiful, the story line was interesting and the battle scenes were like no other. And I really can't stand it when you idiots try to point out historical innacurracys, its based of a graphic novel, not history. Anyways if you guys seriously go to a movie and just decide to criticize it the whole time than I pity you because your never going to enjoy a quality movie in your life, just sit down and watch the thing.

-So basically 300 was a sensation, the special effects and art aspect of the movie was facinating, each scene had its own beauty, I absolutely loved the movie.

Thats really cool, a very intersting idea, its very slick and has a new age feel to it. I personally wouldn't do that for my background but I think thats very creative nice job

That one turned out really nice, I like it alot. Only 3 colors and yet it feels like there is more to it. I really like the effect it brings from not using a outline around the whole figures

wow dude those are really good. Since you seem to be new here I'll just go ahead and give you a heads up:
this forum doesn't use BB tags like [IMG] so thats why it didn't work
instead you have to post art separtely where it says >ATTACHMENT: - underneath your message, but other than that your pictures are really good, nice job on that

What are you saying?

I put my work in each and everyone of my art, so don't say it's simple.

I'm sorry to intrude but I have to agree with LiftYourSkinnyFists, all your art looks like something that was just made up in flash in about 15-20mins max, they are very simple, even if you do put work into them it doesn't mean that they aren't simple. What I would like to see is something that perhaps was drawn out prehand on paper, then flashitized, and if you have photoshop, its always great for appling finishing touches. I'm not saying that this stuff is bad, these just look like they where doodled

Forum: Art

Well this thread is already a waste of space, its just not working - sorry for the truth. But the only art in here is stuff that was posted in another thread, or the crap people wouln't normally post in their own thread because they know they didn't put any effort in it and no one's gonna like it. Also, not being a dick or anything, the topic was started off with a pretty shitty drawing - one that was made for a different thread. This isn't really going to be the thread that will thrive like in other forums, partly because alot of the better art that you would hope to see here will be posted in that artists own art thread or a separte thread. I think if MindChamber made a thread of its own it would have a better chance of being popular, partly because he is an excellent artist and sorry to say to you guys, if you want to make a Regs thread your gonna have to be one of the better artists on the site, its just more inspiring. Anyways thats what I think

Topic: Finding a drawing style?

Posted: 02/28/07 02:58 AM

Forum: Art

I would recommend doing alot of sketches, getting a sketch book and some drawing pencils/pens and just going at it, draw alot - until you start to get the hang of it, and if you want to get good in flash - once you can sketch your drawings on paper I recommend getting a tablet, and a big tablet is not important, small/cheap ones do the same thing - get the feel of the tablet and then go from there

I've been painting more seriously for aproximitly 2 and a half year now

Yea I basically meant these more serious paintings, and by the way what meduim do you use, more detailed - like do you usually work with acrylic, tempra, or oil paints and are most of these 100% original or did you edit them in photoshop or some other computer software?

Also how do you transfer them to the computer, I assume a scanner because they have a good quality.

This is a good thread, its nice to see you constantly adding new pictures to it. I just saw this topic for the first time and really like your paintings, expesially with the firgure and head. I personally hate painting, never was my expertise I guess, anyways you use colors really nicely. How long have you been doing this kind of stuff?

Normally I just submitted art in its own topic but since I submit every now and then I figured I might as well make a thread.
-All my stuff is done in Flash and then edited in Photoshop
-Comments/Critism is very welcome

This first one is a pic I drew up today, this was the first time I actually sketched the picture out on paper, inked it, and then drew it in flash - which turned out really nice so I think I'll do that alot more now. Um it's basically some sort of superhero, I really like the color green (obviously) and so I threw in alot of neon looking effect there, I was really happy with how this one turned out.
