However, I find that people desperate to invalidate a statement with a casual "That's just your opinion" are particularly egregious offenders. We have a title for people who like to engage in that sort of behaviour; people who readily dismiss others while pushing their own interests as if they are somehow the exception to the rule.

You're dealing with a narcissist, if a particularly light one.

Try to avoid interacting with them, you'll get a vicious headache even if their opinions and perspectives somehow align with your own. They're disgusting people.

And, and for anyone wondering, the colourful backdrops aren't just there for show, they're to even out the value distribution so I can paint the picture without fucking it up.

4 pictures are the minimum requirement. The status of completion doesn't necessarily factor into the equation of when you get scouted/approved for the art portal, but people are less likely to scout you if they feel that your work isn't up to their standards.

It's kind of a trial by fire. Just upload work when you're comfortable with it, and the people who constantly trawl the unscouted section will manually scout you when they're comfortable with it. You need 4 images though.

However, I know that my laptop is outright fucking awful, and that a lot of people here are either in the same boat or are not gamers outright. So for me at least, it'd depend more on how interesting the competition was compared to any interest in actually winning a prize.
