Shit, I hate people who criticize with no evidence of decent art of their own. Also, about the pose, have you ever seen the picture of tom jumping? then you'll know what a weird pose for a jump is. And how do you know that he's not practicing? How do you know he didn't whip this up in 5 seconds, and if he took time he could make art to make you want to curl up and DIE? Fucking bitch.

Ah! Very clever... and no, I'm not the God of Human Drawing. Now, It doesn't haven't to be perfect, but this 'sketch' is far from perfect. As for the pose, even if he used reference from a picture, the body structure is still awkward. Using reference doesn't mean that it will look exactly like the picture, now does it? I also never said anything about him not practicing, I said that he should practice. Maybe when he has improved greatly he can comeback and show us his progress. He probably didn't 'whip this up in 5 seconds' either. But posting a sketch like this leads me to beleive that he's far from finished. I'm not trying to be hostile at all, I'm just trying to help this kid improve. And do you know how many art critics there are without any artistic talent giving out the best advice? This thread had no real crits, so I decided to jump in and point out a few. Sometimes they might appear insulting, but in most cases the author is just trying to highlight a particularly glaring flaw. Seriously, one should learn how to receive criticism. It's the only way he'll improve.
Also, here's an example of my work incase you're wondering: http://www.newground../topic.php?id=590670

Nice dude. But you have a tablet, don't you? Why don't you use it over your old sketches? This one would look great colored.

Oooh! What are you, like fourteen? The anatomy in your picture is WAY off. The hand looks horrible, his legs are oversized, his face is too small, his jaw doesn't make sense, his forearms are too short, and this is an awkward pose for someone to be jumping in the air. Best advice anyone can give you: Buy some anatomy books, draw from life, and practice, practice practice!

Oh no, I wouldn't do that just yet. I suggest you go buy some anatomy books and practice 24/7. I painted over your picture to point out all of your mistakes. I rate it a 3/10.

Well, I've always wanted to make a Platformer, but I'd need the help of another artist.

My vote for extreme win, just based on the quality alone.

Thank you! I always appreciate it when somebody likes my artwork.

Well, it doesn't really matter as long as they're decent at drawing and animating. Oh yes, I also know nothing about script.
