Hey guys, just earlier my friend and I were downloading stuff and watching this video thing I was working on and we thought that it would be really great to play and puase videos at any time.

What would be a basic script to make a pause button and a play button? I got no clue how to do this, I never done it before or even made buttons before.

Oh yeah, and on preloaders, im using the basic newgrounds one, but can you make it so you press the 'enter' key and it starts to play?

I used the ex gotoAndPlay (120); quite a bit. So there must be some other conflicting sciprt or somsething right?

Are you making a game or a video? I usually add the scipt on the second frame right after the preloader so it jumps to the frame I want so I dont have to watch the video im working on over and over again. It just skips to the part I want to check out. But thats just for movies.

Is there a way to start from a specific frame when you test your flash movie isntead of having to watch the whole movie from the start each time?

Hey guys, I'm rather new to flash well, that is very unfamiliar with a lot of the technques to be used. I figure starting off with sprites would probably be the best way to start off until I get better and then maybe Ill head off to starting my own animation with drawing and that. I'm real shit at drawing so I'm doing sprites until then.

Anyways, I figured out how to do sprites with animation, Im still working on ways to get the animation more smooth. But what Im having the most trouble with is animating a side-scrolling background. I couldn't find any tutorials on making a scrolling background and I made a few attempts at it. But my animation kinda flips out a lot and the backgrounds jumps all over the place.

Anyone familiar with making scrolling sprite backgrounds?
