Topic: Demithyst Collab?

Posted: 10/22/08 04:00 PM

Forum: Clubs & Crews

I need to progress more quickly with the Demithyst series, but I dont want to compromise on quality and hopefully, a collab is the way to go?

There is a really good story here and I'd like to tell it in a way that does it justice.

Any ideas and/or suggestions?

The Demithyst project's website is on www.demithyst.com, where the project's history can be looked at. A full script exists for the entire story. I need graphics done in a consistent style either 2D and/or 3D, in the same vein as the existing Demithyst parts (1-5 are here on Newgrounds).

There's a lot that can be done with the right software, yes, but a woman's voice is not something you can fake. This is not a special effects project, so simply dropping or raising the pitch wont work. I need real voices, belonging to different people.

Hi all. I'm working on the REMAKE of Demithyst Part 4 and need some voice talent for it.

I'd like to get one female voice (sounding around 30 or younger perhaps) and two male voices.

I will publish some details on leonardrawles dot com slash demithyst shortly on this subject, but i'd like to see if anyone would be interested in helping out. there will be no payment, only credits at the end. email me on info at scarback dot co dot za if you'd like to, how should i say... "audition"?

the phrases you can use for your "audition" for the one male part are:
"we're not trained for this, omg we're not trained for this" in a very worried voice,
OR
"i thought you said he wasn't armed!" in a subdued, irritable tone.

and for the second male part:
"what are you doing here, son? you shouldn't be here..." in a shocked, concerned tone.

for the female:
"she's not here, victor. she's not here." in a quivery, sad and irritable tone.

i will clean up the audio and lay it into the sound track, but try to get a crisp quality with little or no background hiss. please email mp3 files or zipped wav files.

this is a serious request - i'm trying to make some good stuff, but i need help on it. thanks everyone.

look around in the actionscript help section of flash online help for loadvariables - which should bring you to a point where you'll be able to tie up your flash with a php or asp script.

this is not a short answer you're after. email me on leonard@scarback.co.za and we can talk about it.
first - a story line, then characters, or the other way around, then, some decisions on animation style, sound, then the actual work of putting the thing together (drawing the characters, deciding how to animate them, deciding what type of animation will best suit your story, what music, what voiceovers if any, and dont be afraid to start over.
