America, early on, tried to create a new system entirely, but contrary to popular belief it wasnt to be cool, or different, it was different for superficial reasons, it was different for the practicality of the people. for instance, we dont use metric. we say a foot, and a foot is 12 inches, why do we do something so illogical when metric is all 10's, its all moving the decimal. because 1, the average human foot is 12 inches, give or take, and when youre a farmer with no measuring equipment, its alot easier to take 10 paces and say boom, 10 feet. also as you all know, the OPs post made no sense, because it goes month day year here

I say we go back to viking law, in this respect, and yes, im serious, modified slightly of course. basically a justified slaying, was, you know, when someone wrong you in this way or this way or this way, you could legally kill them, but, on a farm where the men leave half the year, to kill someone hurts the family, they suffer unjustly, so a justified slaying, you killed the man, paid for his funeral, and a percentage of whatever based of what he would have made while working that year. obviously problems with all of that but like i say, with some modification, much better system.
