3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI found this neat website a while back where you can use several different shapes and lines to create your own piece of art. Hundreds of thousands have been submitted already by so many people.
I'm encouraging everyone to try and make their own art with the tools provided there and be as creative as you can. You can make anything you like and it doesn't have to be Picasso-themed.
I tried to use all the lines and shapes as effectively as possible for this one. I did post this in another thread of mine, but since it wasn't entirely related to the actual topic, I find it appropriate to submit it again.
Anyway, here's one I made of Samus Aran from Metroid. (duh)
I might be wrong, but as Mindchamber mentioned, you probably shouldn't post the work for him.
I love every bit of it though.
I just can't wait to see the finished product.

I really like it. Just try some different method for drawing the facial hair. I dunno. Just something to think about.
One of my homework assignments to redraw a self-portrait of M.C. Escher.
Just some doodling from a few years ago.

I'm actually a righty, but I just drew it as if I was a lefty. Just clearin' that up.
I've improved upon my methods and have used the shapes more effectively.
I give you......Samus Aran.
This may be familiar to some of you who've seen my other thread.
I made one of Kirby. I was still experimenting with the tools and shapes at the time.
Well heres a drawing of my feet. Not much else to say.

The third hand is partially balled up into a fist where most of the fingers can't be seen very well since they are clenched against the palm and seen from an isometric-type view like the first two. I could understand why you'd think it looks a bit awkward.
In case anyone had trouble viewing the pictures in the link of my previous post, I'll put 'em up here now that I have a scanner.
This one was a homework assignment using the website. A Picasso-themed self-portrait.
Hey there everybody. Just thought I'd show you all my sketches n' such I've been working. I've really picked up on my drawings in the past few years. I'll be posting some stuff as the days go by.
Well anyway heres a drawing of my hands....lemme' know what ya think.
Recently I was given a homework assignment in art class to create a "painting" using this website. After finishing the assignment I decided to play around for a while.
The results couldn't have been better.
To view the images just click on each item left of the canvas labeled "Escudero" or type it in the search bar to the left of the canvas if not present for any reason.
Let meh know what y'all think!
Basically the same as the previous one, but I tried to think of a more retarded looking hairstyle.
It's hella' more detailed than my MS Paint stuff..that's fo' sho'
This is just the basic framework or "bulk" of the final piece.
Notice the horizontal lines that indicate the location of the eyes, ears, and nose. The same applies for drawing on paper, of course. The only difference to me is the amount of time devoted to creating such art...considering that it's a bit challenging to the user to "keep a steady hand" using Paint.
I'll get around to finishing this in a few days or so.
Paint has been my only "medium" so far. It's fun makin' stuff like this with basic tools cuz' it's a challenge to the artist to be creative with such limited resources.
Yeah...Paint has been the only tool I've been using for a while now. Any art I post in the future will be bits that I originally drew in my sketchbook like the ones you see now. I'm glad you like it anyway.
It's funny how some people talk about emos as if they're another species or something. They're just socially and emotionally deprived people that have been exposed to the "wrong crowd."
I'm not very familiar nor have I ever used a drawing pad just to let you know. It's all mouse...and it takes some time to finish 'em all. Thanks for the compliments.
Yeah I see what you're getting at there. The way I see it, however, in terms standard human proportions, the eyes are just about right in the middle of the head...meaning the same distance from top to chin. It might seem otherwise at first glance so I can't bash ya for it. Thanks for the comment though.
This is just an attempt of mine to create an anime figure with Paint.
I didn't want to color it all in mainly because of the overwhelmingly bland selection there was.
I think it looks fine the way it is though....What do you think?
Back in the day I had 127 pokemon in my old purple binder. Dunno what ever happened to it...oh well. Now they're making more pokemon faster than you can collect 'em all...
I used to play Diablo back in the day, but now I'm into MechCommander and Super Nintendo-emulated games.
Interesting. Nice and simple work with plenty of rich colors. Nice work.
Impressive and detailed. Nice quick stokes and round, smooth edges. Beautiful Work overall.
