By story board he's referring to a series of sketches used to depict the intended events in an animation or something along those lines.
Zeke's right tho...theres still plenty of pencil artists out there. Just take my stuff for example...you're not behind your times really.
Anyway... this looks pretty good, but it would be nice if you added a bit more depth to it. Try some shading or something. Just a thought. I like it though.

I do that everyday lol...just so I don't fall asleep. Ya'know....keepin' myself occupied.
Ever since I was 12 I really started getting into drawing for the "first time."
But yeah you gotta keep at drawing like crazy and pick up some tips n' stuff from people along the way.

Metroids attacking a city for example...
LoL....I love this one. I draw Metroid stuff all the time.
Oh the glory that is the Newgrounds Forums. Highly sophisticated people we have in this community.
The supposed "ripples" all over the shirt look more like slashes or some kind of depressions. You should work on that a bit more.
I think I'd prefer realism over cartoon stuff, but both are fun to draw .....n' stuff.

mixed a dark blue with a chrom-ish silver, so at certain angles he gets bluer which is cool.
This is just absolutely drenched in epicness. Beautiful work Mindchamber.
Just practicing some anime. Didn't come out on the scanner the way I wanted it to though.
This is rather different from what I usually post.
My brother gave me the idea and specifications to draw a 'mech for the whole "battletech" universe thing. After some sketched and rough drafts I came up with this using pen and pencil.
It's called the Lochaber...or something like that.

Be more confident in your lines, try not not to draw the same line over and over. Looks really sloppy.
Take your time. Keep improving.
Yea...I see what you're sayin', but that's just how I draw: very rough and sketchy. I'm not a perfectionist either... as you can see.
I'd like to see what you'd make from my name.
This was just an idea of how I'd look in like 30 years.
Excellent work. How long did this take you?

Absolutely phenomenal. I barely know how to use photoshop, but it seems as though you've taken every possible advantage of such a tool. A true stroke of genius, good sir. I hope to see much more from you in the future...keep up the good work!
I love the high level of detail in every single one of these. My only complaint would have to be how some of your characters are in somewhat awkward stances..ya know...some don't look too natural. Otheer than that you did a fantastic job on them. Keep up th good work.
I've been enjoying realism more and more as the days pass. Another assignment.
Yeah this didn't take me long surprisingly. My 34th assignment.
Leonardo da Vinci has been my inspiration alot lately. Another assignment.
In this assignment I did one of Leonardo da Vinci's sketches. He was apparently studying muscle tissue and such.
Still trying to improve on my anime stuff.
This was my attempt to draw from memory. I was much more accurate than expected. lol
I was making fun Isiah Thomas in this one. lol
