Is there any way to have a continuous music track go throughout flash scenes, stay as a streaming sound (not event), and not have hickups/skips in the music?

Hey, I'm working on a flash fighting game using actionscripting. I have flash 5, but not MX. Does anyone know where i can find a good tutorial on flash 5 actionscripting, specifically in fighting games? Any help would be heavily appreciated.
