Crystalline

Perfect for my Intro Menu.

For my main game music I am looking for something a little more subtle than most of the stuff posted on here. It is more background ambience I am looking for, more than full on rock.
I want something a little bit drum and bass, http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1 02490 was the song I used for my previous game because it is quiet, ambient, as well as funky and kind of unique.

Thanks for all the suggestions and posts so far, been a lot of help. If anyone else has songs they think might fit for the main game, I am still searching for the perfect song :)

Hey guys, I am currently working on a new game, and am really struggling to find any audio for it.

I am looking for 2-3 tracks, of a quite specific nature.

First I want a shortish (30 secs - 1 min) looping track to use on the game menu.
Second I want a long (3-4 mins) track for during the game.
Finally I want another short track for use on the credits/game end screens.

The game itself is a sci-fi, futuristic themed point and click adventure. It is a direct follow on from my previous games (prism core, cube core), and I'm looking for similar genres of music (but dont want to use the same tracks as my last games).

I also want to make sure that the audio is by an author who is happy for me to use the sound in my game, I will fully credit them plus give links to their website. My last games have had over 1.5 million combined hits, so it could be a lot of exposure.

Its hard to find stuff on the audio portal without spending hours on there previewing tracks. If I could search it using keywords, then I guess I would use the following:

Techno-industrial, futuristic, mechanical, soulful, haunting, hopeful, yearning, impatient, frustrated.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any help on this. I am not looking specifically for people to make new stuff, I am sure there is plenty of stuff on the portal already, but I need a lot of help finding stuff that is appropriate.

why would I want to ask for someone to make something custom, the audio portal has thousands of entries already, it is just very hard to search through it to find the right pieces.
I've been working on a new game, I wanted some ambient/creepy/industrial/abstract/techn o type music to accompany it. I've found something after spending have 2 hours clicking randomly in the portal, but it wasnt fun, and I am sure there is probably something a lot better out there but it is just hidden in one of the hundreds of pages of submissions.

I like this site for submitting work to, I'm not really involved in the bbs community though, and I am sure a lot of other "new" artists feel the same way. We should have to ask around or get people to make stuff for us, when it probably already exists but is just lost in a complete sea of audio.

been trying to find some good audio to go with a project I have been working on, and I must say that the search options on the audio portal are really inadequate. They only allow you to search by genre, title, and artist name. Really, when you dont know exactly what it is you are looking for, those options are next to useless.

Some additional search functions would be really nice, such as Track Length, File size (for those who are looking for something short and sweet to keep their flash size to a minimum), whether it is a loop or full song, etc.
Also would be very nice to be able to order search results by rating, date added, how many flash submissions it has been used in.

Additionally a "tags" system would also improve things, artists could be asked to specify a few key words about their piece, which would then be used to improve the chances that people searching for "short techno loop" or "emotional happy celebration" would find music that fitted much quicker.

Just some thoughts that I thought would be worth posting, not sure if anything will be done about it, but in my opinion it would make the audio portal much more desirable for flash artists to make good use of.
