8-bit Dubstep that I'd fancy some input on.

Hai guyz!
Incredibly new to Dubstep (and the electronic music scene in general) but do hope to conquer it (or at least be decent at it).
Here's my latest work that I'd love some feedback on.

Thanks in advance guys! Keep up the great work!
New to Dubstep, could use some advice. This is a work in progress, so I would love some input.

Thanks in advance!
Yes, yes, yes. I'm in.

I lul'd pretty hard there Chuck. Well played.
Don't quite understand the plastic comment... but, I too know that literacy isn't for everybody.
I too am a bit more partial to the Traktor S4 - quite simply because of all the fantastic things I've read/heard. And the whole bundle a' fonts that come with it are pretty sexy. Just thought I get some clarification before making such a large purchase.

Have to agree. One must be cautious when buying something endorsed by a celebrity. I've unfortunately had the liberty of owning the Solo's and the... shit... white ones? Not so great for the buck. Try Sennheiser; decent cost, and a pretty great sound.
Alright ladies - looking to buy a Turntable. I know quite little about the whole dance scene/hardware/interracial relations., so I could use some advice.
From what I HAVE been able to learn, I'm at an impasse between the Numark NS6 and the Traktor S4
Thoughts? Feel free to suggest anything you feel is better... and stuff.
Thankies! <3

Agreed. "Classical" is too vague. For example, MaestroRage is FAR from a classical composer, though he is an excellent Cinematic Composer. I was always unsure why Orchestras where confined to "Classical" here on NG. :/

Sorohanro, you deserve an e-hug.
Honestly, anybody thinking about this needs to read, then re-read his post. You're committing artistic suicide! Think of all the money you spend on equipment, software, lessons; all the agonizing hours mastering and tinkering and learning, all the suffering, and all the joy. Then, imagine all that work being rewarded with ten fucking dollars. Maybe the paycheque isn't important to you, but what about notoriety? Wouldn't you like to have your name attached to something famous, to get an ACTUAL paying job?
You'd be a fool to do this.

Bwuaha. I'm not ragging on it, shit, I've never used it - but it seems to be the program of choice for you Windows fella's.
FL>God.
Just remember a few decades back, nobody could prove or disapprove that smoking cigarettes caused cancer. Now it's universally proven and agreed (except for tobacco lobbyists) that it does. Marijuana enthusiasts should keep that in mind. It's just a matter of time.
Oh man, if you knew the conversations I've had recently.
Point digested - I suppose this whole topic could be summed up with "agree to disagree".
Lobbyists will destroy the world one day, I swear.

Is it not fair to say all advocates of anything capitalize on this theory? I mean, seems like a pretty basic thought; be bias to things that relate to you. I'm sure alcoholics and pedophiles rationalize everything to themselves. (Note on the Pedophile thing; once, fairly recent I might add, a friend quoted me a paragraph or two from "The pedophiles guide to love an pleasure" - not only was it terrifying, but his logic was sound and consistent.)

There will be dusts clouds thrown up from both sides of the issue, UNTIL someone can finally prove that it's harmful.
The handful of times I smoked pot, I hated it. However, I've never been fond of that "not in control" feeling. Some people love it, some hate it.
But you make an excellent point, it's really easy to justify and rationalize the shit you like.

It relates to a lot of statistics addressing broad range drug usage not just marijuana, and it also doesn't take into account that people with marijuana in their system (who were in car accidents) weren't necessarily on the drug during their accident; or at least it doesn't make that clear. It reads a lot like propaganda to me. Also couldn't find any specific studies cited anywhere for it, just statements from people.
I'm not justifying driving under any influence, just thought it was worth posting. Apparently not... Granted, I could've posted something with a clearer and more reputable context, but it's what I found within my thirty seconds on Google.
Let bygones be bygones, I can admit when I'm wrong. Though, I wish I knew where it was I saw/read this 'fact', it was rather convincing.
Forgive the double post, but fuck-
Here's your 'research'. Google it.
"...In reality marijuana can affect concentration, perception and reaction time up to 24 hours after it's smoked says the federal director of drug policies, John Walters. That is much, much longer than alcohol can affect behavior."

That's one of the most absurd things I've heard. Maybe you should do some "research" before you post "facts".
Hm. I don't seem to remember claiming that as a fact, just saying I MIGHT have read it somewhere. Not sure why you felt the need to act superior to me.
And absurd? This whole fucking subject is absurd. Why argue over this?

Sarcasm?
Pot directly? Probably not. But, I see Pot like I see Alcohol. If you do it in moderation, don't drive anywhere, and don't fuck up my day - than who cares?
But, what I can attest to is that it is, like all drugs, an inhibitor. So driving becomes a very dangerous thing; same with flying, or whatever the hell requires attention. I seem to remember reading somewhere that it's safer to drive drunk than high, because the pot effects your motor skills (stuff that's hardwired, like 'muscle memory').
Additionally, why the hell is 4/20 such a big deal? It's Adolf Hitler's birthday - I fail to see the connection between these two things...

How do you make someone realize that they always smell putrid without telling them?
That was a neat tie-in from the pot topic. xD
Methinks putrid stench is always worth addressing. I'd hope someone would tell me. I mean, suffer through a bit of embarrassment, then you don't smell like shit anymore.
I don't wanna' be a negative Nancy, but BrokenDeck is absolutely right.
If anyone is considering doing this, take into account the ramifications of detaching yourself from something you've created. Additionally, it sounds to me (at least) that EpicFail wants to claim everything as his own; I know I wouldn't be comfortable with that. Hearing something I've written preformed at ___ stadium or on ___ radio station, and not even being able to take pride in it.
And to EpicFail, it would be much wiser to work out a percentage deal as BrokenDeck suggested; simply because if you did in fact manage to get someone to give you exclusive rights, and they knew what they were doing, it would be incredibly costly - rightly so, I should add.
I hope your intentions are pure...
Kaboom!
THIS THREAD is where all Voice Acting shpeals go. Additionally, a bit strange to advertise yourself in an audio portal. ;)
Just teasing. Best of luck!

Hm... sounds like they're Pad Synths - probably to add some ambience and carry the progression along.
Do forgive the double post all mighty Mods.
I forgot to mention that THIS THREAD existed, as this question has been asked many, many times before.
However, I would really like to stress that "powerful" doesn't have to be a requirement for you at this stage. If you do in fact have Garageband, check out some tutorials on Youtube and flourish your musical knowledge. Then move on to something a bit better.
Best of luck, sir!
Guess I'll have to find something more powerful. Any recommendations for powerful music creation?
Do you have a Mac? If so, Garageband is actually a pretty decent starting point.
However, if you're set on something with balls, I'd suggest Reason or Cubase - then, possibly Logic 9.
Or FruityLoops, everyone here is always talking about fucking FruityLoops; and I'm pretty sure they have a fully functional Demo, but don't quote me.
I've never used FruityLoops... :'(

I'd like to get into making more music on my iPad, but if I have no where to put it, I don't see the sense.
OR (just for clarification) damn near anything you make on the iPad version of Garageband. Honestly, I don't think you should upload - not to be rude, but simply from your questions I can see whats going to happen.
Share it with your friends, they'll appreciate it more and you won't get banned from here. :3
However, should the day come you use Garageband to make something original, then you'll be more than welcome in the Audio Portal.

This is a fun and quirky loop I made that could, perhaps, use some fine tuning. I see it fitting for maybe shops, or screens with "choices" (options... blah).

Not to be rude, but this is almost unbearable to sit through. I tried, really I did, to pick out a melody in here. See, the issue is this is such an odd "snippit" of a track that it's indecipherable.
Hate to break it to ya' kid, but I doubt you'll find it. Should you, however, add to this sample or improve it's audio quality then perhaps you'll have better luck.
