Help on vocal/lyrics Posted October 28th, 2013 in Audio

If anyone has experience on doing this, give me a hand
I have a clean vocal and need to make it in tune (some passages are not, sadly). I did what I could on Newtone but they're still missing sometimes.

Also, how to make them standout (other than reverb/delay)?

Send me a PM if you want to help

These vox sounds Posted October 26th, 2013 in Audio

Now this is a more sophisticated question.
I know the first one is a sample (in Krankenhouse) and the other one is more than just a sample (in 16 reasons to love).

Other than sampling the sounds, how one should go on replicating them?
They are both choir/vox/voices; I have already sampled the first one (that actually came with an AMIGA soundset pack back in the days rofl), but I'd like to make MY OWN

So what is the structure of a sound like that?

Thanks and cya

Response to: "must Learn" List Posted October 25th, 2013 in Audio

learn the basic of music theory (scale, notes sounding good and bad together, etc., this leads then to chords, etc)
PLUS
well of course learn to use your software/hardware

then you can move on more complicate things

you could try apply a lot of filters effects eq noise remover etc but the sound will be still shit
no metaphor here lol

ah when recording from crappy things stay away from everything: even if you don't hear it, there's some background noise.

Honestly though, the mixing on this track is... not great. You can do better than this.

Thanks for the tips: i examined the song with a EQ and yes: the bass has its low end cut, more like a mid-bass (don't know how its called).
Gonna try it asap

ps i think the mixing is perfect for its age, came out in 95 and was intended for club/rave scene (so just put a kick and bass at high bpm and you're ok lol)
