Decided to dumb down the colours in this one.
ART PORTAL. | TIME-LAPSE.
While you're here, check this guy out.
Based on the lyrics in this song (1:55).
ART PORTAL. | ALSO, TIME-LAPSE.
ART PORTAL. | 12x18".
I guess I'll post this here. I don't like posting the same image for no reason, so I thought I'd link to the huge ass version should it have 'poster potential', and also a WIP I saved a while back.
And now a magical before and after shot:
Entry for the Halloween2010 contest.
SHOULD ANYONE READ THIS: I don't get the 'entry' thing, do we actually have to post in the [talk] thread, or just upload it to the Art Portal?
Alternatively I could just do both for the +1.
ALSO, I made a time-lapse video of this painting. Check it.
I drew this in the orientation it is now, but I realised it might actually possibly be better if you rotated it 90 degrees clockwise.

None of my stuff is directly referenced -- And I want to say I realise that it is probably the worst thing to do ever when doing anatomical studies etc, and I will most definitely suffer for it in the long run. It's not like I don't see the point of studying realism and drawing (literally) off it, but I don't aim to imitate realism or base my works in the structural sense, with my general art direction, I want to deal in the more conceptual side of things. So as long as general 'details' of the works aren't too far out, like the audience being able to tell that that stick figure is representative of a human, then mission accomplished.
TL;DR: It's not referenced to real stuff because I don't aim for it to be - and I suck cock because of it.
i also think you should do some more studying of foreshortening.
Very much agreed.
it's all looking good though, keep it up.
Will do.
Aaaaaand because I don't like posting in my own thread without an art attachment, here's something nonsensical.
Larger.

I think his nose is huge and obscures it out or something, but I dunno, looks alright to me.
the guys are really good too, but on a couple of the sketches, the torso seemed a little weird.
I'm most probably going to do another male sheet, like I did with the females. So I'll be sure to fix that up.
keep it up, its really good :)
Cheers cuz.
Hands. Larger.
Faces practice.
Full size, because I managed to put a fair amount of minor details into this.
Questionably male anatomy. Larger.
Hands or possibly animals next up.
Self explanatory. Back to basics. I'll go back to drawing/painting full works after I get this stuff down pat for real this time. ETA, a couple of months.
Larger.
Next up, male anatomy.

Did you guys enjoy highshool?
I graduated on Thursday. I can't say that I enjoyed every moment of it, but I'll probably miss it purely because I've become accustomed to it and the people there for the last 6 years. I'd think more problems arise as you get older, and the reason people reminisce about highschool is because those were the days when you didn't even give a shit and you just hung out with your mates all day long.

Can you (or anyone) point where this occurs? I can't tell because I made them.
*** I wrote a paragraph of response, but then I realised it was just me being a faggot, making excuses, so in short -- I'm shit, I know, I'm working on it.

Continued.
Wasn't going to post this, but oh well, it DID take me a long fucking time.
Origin:
There's a map in the back of the school diary, so my friend decided to put really stupid names for where cliques hung out and stuff. It was funny as fuck, so they decided to get me to redo it for the yearbook.
On a side note, I'm getting 'the final award' for Art at my school tomorrow. Which I can't understand because I'm not even coming first in the class in terms of marks.
Another backdrop for the grade yearbook.

Right under the text field you use to type up a post, there's an upload thing with a button that says "Browse...", click that.
Backdrop done for the grade yearbook.
I didn't want to bump my own thread with a single shoddy image, so I decided to bump it with TWO shoddy images:
REALLY BAD BATMAN COMIC.
I watched this yesterday as I was flicking through channels. Am I the only one to think this was quite possibly the dumbest thing ever?
2011 NG CALENDAR CONTEST.
I was supposed to draw Convict glaring backwards in the background, but I ran out of time. So wittily I made the dividing lines a jacket outline. Whoosh.
1. I swear I'm missing something obvious, but can't see it, like the last time I posted.
2. I don't know whether the 'villain' is too subtle to notice or not.
HAH. DISREGARD MY ENTRY, TOTALLY FORGOT THE KNIVES. HURP.
OH WELL.

Reworked.

Geez, I did not know how weird we were in the eyes of other countries.
I can't make myself eat those because every time the extended family cracks one open, I have to go to the other side of the house purely because of the smell. But I've tried durian chocolate, which, might I say, is quite possibly the worst thing ever in the world.
