I think I'll work on some images for this collab. My only concern is the required four images. I don't know if I can think of something really interesting four times. And I don't want to draw four static samurai.

I know what you mean, I see all this great artwork go through the portal, some don't get enough recognition, and then this one gets put on a pedastal. It's not bad, but c'mon, so many other artists put forth things that are truly artisticly valuable here.

But then there are people like TheRealShadman, who caters to the audience AND makes great art at the same time.,

I need to win first place and be scouted haha I'm surprised I won medals at all!

You don't know the rules well enough, and even still, read the news page, everyone is unscouted, new system of running things.

Heheheheh! Apparently two of my drawings won awards, I'm giddy like a school girl.

Also, this system is kind of annoying, because then, people will scout others and hope the others accept them, and the scouts will all have different criteria for what kind of person is worthy of scouting them, and is there a two scout limit still?

Eh, the first time around I was scouted the first day, but this time, there are so many people already having art so it's an even bigger pond then when I first joined.

Haha I have yet to accomplish finishing the drawing, but I'll post a picture of the work in progress, aside from finishing the background, I have to colour it.

I took a picture of myself holding it since I can't use my scanner at the moment.

I'm working on an anatomically accurate and well coloured piece just for the thread.

Yeah, I need to take some formal life drawing classes, I know you're supposed to learn the rules before you break em.

I don't think any artist should worry about filters to much. Traditional art just looks so much better.

I haven't used any filters in either drawing. I did a few pattern overlays though.

I don't always draw that way either, as seen here.

I took one drawing class, of course it was beginning drawing, all we did was still lifes in various mediums, practiced on values and shading and perspective work.

Actually, I'm planning on it, though I disagree with some of your claims.

I strongly love the sweater pattern. it does many things in my opinion; strengthens the circles I patterned throughout the drawing , it brings focus and dims all the colours and creates that "too sweet" feeling.

As for the proportions, yes, they aren't realistic, his neck is too long, and I didn't bother shrinking his head to be proportionate, the girl however, is actually pretty well proportioned.

I can post the image without the overlay, and you'll see how empty and broken it feels.

Wow, that was a very unimportant thing to point out in my opinion.

Anyway, I'm debating on making a short animation as an attempt for a medal or drawing something else?

No, it's a sweater fabric I took a picture of and I used multiple on it, it's actually the foremost layer haha.

I started off excited to draw my cat, then I started the drawing and realized how complicated the fur is on him. Si I'm gonna post the work in progress and leave it at that.

His name is Melon(choly) because of how his "mask" makes him look.

I found him in my garage.

If she is naturally disproportional then that's fine, I guess all the help people are trying to give you is pointless, but you posted art and we are only examining your drawing from an artistic standpoint.

Oh, I meant the medals that are secret in the flash, not like a drawing of a medal, I do wanna make a drawing better than the other two I submitted but I don't want to step on anyone's toes by doing the same character.
