Not bad there. My cpu monitor is a 17" widescreen as well. I've got a 17" standard 75lb monitor for my 360. I'd should take a picture of my set up and post it here.

Unless you don't have the room or money, I believe it's time for an upgrade.

The money: :*(

I make 7.25 hourly with maybe 35 hours a week. After taxes I bring home a little over 400$. 200$ for rent and bills goes to my mom and the rest at the moment is being spent on x-mas gifts and a new heating unit for the house which is going to cost 3,000$.

Can't catch a damn break around here it seems.

There already is both a Resident Evil Club and a Horror Club.

Use the search bar in the bottom left of the page to find them. Come to think of it if you just search a few pages back you'll probably find both of them.

I'd link them if I wasn't on a shitty laptop.

I guess they are, I've had them for about two years & vowed to never watch them until I watched Turn A. Fiinished it the other morning at 7am. I was determined to finish it before I went to bed. Picked up at episode 28 and it was all awesome. Turn A and Turn X's battle at the end is amazing.

With the movies, they are LITERALLY a animation recap of the entire series. The subs I got for it are horrible. Will Jim - Willgem / Moon People - Moonrace / Name mispellings like Juseph and many others. Miscalling of people as in the wrong names. Just a complete mess so I only skimmed them. :/

But I have discovered a series that I think I'll come to enjoy as I continue it. It's called Michiko to Hatchin and it's very stylish so far, love the wild fun of the op song. I'll talk more about it once I watch a few more episodes.

Do keep us informed. Maybe I'll pick it up because I'm about to drop Hidimari Sketch. I just can't get into animes like this anymore.

True true. It's probably a preference with subs over dubs with me if I've seen the series subbed first. But that is usually 80% of the time. There are great dubs out there as well. Outlaw Star, Dragonball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, Vampire Hunter D, Berserk, G Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam, etc...

As for the Castlevania Marathon it was beautiful. Castlevania is my favorite series of all time and it was great to see him review all of the console versions of the game. I was kinda disapointed that he was rather short with Bloodlines but it is an obscure game in the franchise. I'd love to see him review Haunted Castle, the arcade standalone title that has Simon Belmont but that will probably never happen.

His reviews this year haven't been the best but they are still very entertaining and enjoyable to watch. His movie reviews and You Know What's Bullshit? is great as well. Hell, all of his stuff is great. I'd love to see some more Board James sometime soon too.

Excellent excellent. I had them on VHS but my VCR ate them so I did the same. The remastered version is excellent. Both the subbed and the dubbed voices are great. Well, maybe except for Gastons voice. Reminds me too much of Goku. But Chris Sabat will always remind me of Goku no mater what voice he does.

Like I said I am picky. I don't understand a word of Japanese. I like to watch movies where I can understand what the characters are saying. Whenever its subtitled I keep having to pause the movie because I am a slow reader.

Hmm, understandable. It's a shame though because some dubs (IMO) have terrible voice actors and don't suit the character at all. I'm sure you've noticed this. As for me, this is one factor and the other is that at times it seems that the english voice actors just don't capture the emotion of the characters like the japanese voice actors do. It's as if they are just there to say their lines, pick up their check and go about to the next episode or whatever job they have to do. Richard Cocks and Johnny Fucking Bosch are two of my examples and I despise their work to the fullest. Bosch was great in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, other than that no. I mean he tries but it's a poor attempt at that.

Richard Cocks, never again...

Sorry for the rant but I don't get to vent a lot about this matter.

I try to weed out good anime from bad anime by watching whatever I can find online. But the problem with that is free videos usually come in bad quality, subtitled, variety of languages, and missing large chunks sometimes. So when I find something I like I try to buy it in the format I desire.

Even then there are sites out there that do show good wholesome anime that is very well dubbed and in good format. Check your PMs if you will. But I must say you're missing out on many a good series just by watching dubs.

To each their own though. I hope you continue to find more series that suit your tastes that are dubbed.

~

So on episode eight of Turn A Gundam and about to start episode nine. This is a good feeling if I'm getting chills this early into the series already. Might turn out to make me feel how G Gundam has.

When the earth people were hating on the moon race with Loran there it made him snap. What he said afterwards was so moving. It made me tear up a little.

I don't know if Amuro's going to be in it, from what it looked like at the end of CCA, he died. But then again, apparently Char survived, which I think is a serious cop-out if both turned out to have lived :/ CCA was supposed to conclude the rivalry between the two, and end the chapter in that part of the Gundam universe.

It is very cartoony but it's pretty good overall. I do remember some of the end of CCA now and that you mention it it would be somewhat of a cop out but who knows. It's what some of the sites have said about the series. Maybe they just mention them in the series.

But I'm thinking if Unicorn becomes a critical and commercial success, that maybe we'll be seeing more UC materal, Hathaway's Flash or the rest of the F91 era could always be likely candidates if that's the case.

That would be awesome but... I fear that the UC era is long dead other than this up coming OVA. I will remain hopeful that more UC series will pop up but time will only tell.

I hope you didn't have a smoke right after eating that cheese popcorn, that'd be one weird aftertaste. I remember CCA being played that night, really confused me because I thought it was a direct sequel to the 0079 series, really don't know why they aired it in the first place since Zeta wasn't even shown. So the story would have been utterly lost on just about everyone.

Smoked during the eating. The soda washed the taste out of my mouth but I've been smoking for so long now that there isn't much of a taste difference. It actually helps my food settle in my stomach when I smoke afterwards. But yeah, about CCA and Zeta. It was great seeing it since I just got done beating Journy to Jaburo that day and was all 'AWESOME A GUNDAM MOVIE' when I saw it. It was really hard to follow and I had to look it up. That's when I found out about Zeta and ZZ. ZZ needs to be lisenced over here but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

It's a serious suggestion, that and the R.O.D. tv series that followed a bit later. The tv series in particular is absolutely amazing.

Another series I'll have to check out.

Also started on the 1980's Astroboy series; It has it's moments and watching a classic never hurts. The english dub of it is pretty hilariously bad as well. It'll be interesting because I've never really watched or read the Astro Boy series, I've always been more of a Black Jack fan when it comes to Tezuka series.

The original Astoryboy series is pretty good I must say. So is Tetsujin despite them both being the first two animes every, Tetsujin the oldest. The Astroboy series they showed on Toonami years back wasn't too bad either.

Also, I have an Astroboy poster in my room. It's for the movie that just came out last month. I'll have to get around to seeing it.

Black Jack as well.

Major win right there. Pretty much everything you need to know has been said aside from Berserk. But I don't know if you'd like it.

Also, why only dubs and do you just watch the dubs on your DVDs or do you prefer the subbed? I can understand if it is for the purpouse of supporting the series and companies.

Ha, sounds about right. Inuyasha was good at the start but it just got dragged out too much. Rumiko does that with too many of her series. Two seasons, three at the max should be her limit. Not fucking nine or however many it was. Final Act though isn't all that bad. Good quality and it's moving rather quickly instead of taking three episodes it takes about one if not less to cover what story there is left that she's re-telling.

Of course that's not really any different now. Those people who come into the club proclaiming their undying devotion to some uncultured, godless mess very rarely make more than one or two posts before leaving once they realise that nobody shares their interests.

True. Some of us do enjoy, or at one point did, the series that they list. I think they are just getting into anime and haven't ventured out into other series that they wouldn't normally watch. I thought Ouran Host Club was gonna be a total shit fest but in turn fell in love with the series.

You know, I think I still have that PM. I'd have to check but that's a lot of PMs to dig through.

Lot of things happened in my life during that timespan, but there were still some fond memories. You ever look back and wonder to yourself "God why did I act like that"?

A month back I went through all of my posts to find old sigs I made and that were made for me. I could've killed myself with my depression and embarrassment from all of my old posts. ESPECIALLY the first handful I made in this club. Wonko knows them best hahaha.

You haven't read Crossbone Gundam yet? Personally I'd like to read that because the whole premise is about a pirate Gundam, and that's pretty badass. Shame a lot of the manga side stories are terribly obscure and not translated, from all we know we're missing out on some real gems. Another one I would have liked to check out one day was Hathaway's Flash. Which chronicles the events of Hathaway forming a terrorist group known as Mafty. That one looks pretty good because it also sheds more light on Brights character and what happened to him after the events of CCA.

I've read the first book of Crossbone and that's it. :/ At the time the rest were either japanese or poorly translated. Not to mention they were broken up in parts as well. It is a cool concept though. I can't help but think that the Crossbone in F 91 and the manga are related. But I'd have to READ Crossbone to find that out myself. I think Hathaway's Flash will be somewhat tied into Unicorn. Unicorn is the last or say 'latest' series to actually feature Amuro and Char in the series. Guess we'll have to wait until the OVAs come out for it. I don't know if Bright will be in it but it would be awesome if he was. Gonna have to re-watch CCA sometime soon. Been far too long since I last saw it and that was when Adult Swim went off the air on Saturday nights YEARS back.

Had a 2 liter of dr pepper, half a pack of smokes and some cheese popcorn. Those were the GOOD days for me.

What's Rosetta Stone about?

I'm sure you've seen the commercials for them if you watch t.v. They help you learn another language. A buddy of mine has the full japanese set and said he'd give it to me. Said he had to brush up on his since he doesn't stay in contact with too many people who speak and write it anymore.

Also, just got the streaming disc from netflix. So now I can stream crap through my tv, isn't that just awesome? Will use the chance to browse through the anime selection. Started up the R.O.D. OVA when I saw it, and man, so far it's still pretty good after all these years. When I first saw it I was iffy about it because I wasn't used to such an odd concept and plot. But it's great fun with some cool jazz in the mix.

Nice! I remember watching that when Adult Swim was good and aired good stuff like that. Another one I need to re-watch some day.

I'm quite proud of the progress and maturity you've gained since those days. One of the very few users I've ever seen do so.

Yeah, I wish it was a series or movie trilogy at best. That part of the UC timeline was pretty interesting, but there wasn't a whole lot done with it. Aside from the sidestory stuff.

I agree with you on that one. Trilogy would work the best since it was right after ZZ and before V. Tomino would've probably killed the quality with QUALITY if he did do a series.

I can honestly say that the battles are the best part of the movie, very well done. I agree that it was ridiculous that Seabook turned ace out of no where, but damn was the F91 a powerful mofo. Will have to re-watch the film another time.

The final battle with Iron Helmet was pretty bad ass I gotta say. Seabook pulled that fight out of his ass with the help from F91 which yeah, was ridiculous. Shame we didn't get to see what it could fully do with just one movie. I'll have to check into seeing if there is a manga or a book on it. I know they did a manga for V but it's not translated. The one for After War X has a few but a small handful are translated. Guess I better get started with Rosetta Stone sometime soon. :/

Try to make it in grey scale or something that isn't so so pinkish purple.

Any other effects that you might want to add to it as well. Along with a font that suits it as well. Maybe scan lines to it as well but not that noticeable?

Sorry if it sounds so demanding. I'd do it myself but I can't find my copy of CS. Thanks!

Watched Gundam F 91. Pretty good but it moves really fast. One minute Seabook doesn't know anything about the F 91 and the next he shoots down two MS and cripples one like it was a small challenge. Thankfully there wasn't much death and despair and more reunions and love. It's about time Tomino!

The F 91 is rather unique in which it uses psycomu waves and has different radars than the gundams in the time line at that point. It goes into a super mode of sorts which increases it's output and speed multi-fold in which it creates a after image of it's self. Shame it was only a movie but it was still pretty good. Definitely worth the two hour run time.

Possibility. I'm really looking forward to the OVA even if it's just six episodes. Shame though that when it's in destroy mode the pilot can only endure five minutes of it before it goes back to it's normal form. Even odder is that the pilot doesn't activate it, only when certain conditions are met.

eh, I just think blindness is a terrorizing thing to experience.

I can agree with you on that. I'd rather be deaf than blind. Even though I love music and hearing audible noises and sounds through out the day. The wind, birds, trees... I'd rather see and be deaf than the other way around. But I'd take being mute over all of those.

I don't think I have rank 4 parts for my suits yet. Might work on them sometime, but until then I'm burnt out on the game already :/

I hear you. Barzam was the first I got rank four parts for and I believe the 0079 GM was next. Getting them for the Gundams takes missions on hard mode and damn are some of them rediculous if you can't block right or know EXACTLY what you are doing. My problems with both of the games have ALWAYS BE THE FUCKING CAMERA ANGLES. Damn it man, you just can't see who's about to hit you with their SP attack sometimes and you get slaughtered.

Destiny is a pretty good suit, I can see why people would view it as cheap, though.

It's a really unfair suit to use since it is GOD TIER in terms of long range. Not to mention it's SP is relentless. 10 seconds of rape.

I recall you having a PS3, should be fine if that's the case. Speaking of which, I don't actually have a single blu-ray movie yet :o. Been waiting to buy an HDTV that I've been saving up for.

The movie 'is' five gigs alone. A buddy of mine said my equipment might be able to handle it. But yes, I do have a PS3. I don't use it much since my tv is shit and I'm in need of a VGA cable for it so I can plug the out put to my CPU monitor like I have my 360 doing so. I don't have a single BluRay movie either but I've thought about some. Then I'm reminded that I'm the only person out of any of my groups that has a PS3.

And that is like 30+ people. :/

Yeah, the last fight he had against Katejina and all of Zanscare was pretty awesome I gotta say. I'm still waiting to see a pilot go full on berserk. Not like Kamille would do in Zeta. I mean completely bat shit insane and slaughter everything in his path leaving a massive wake of destruction. Along the lines of hot blood and vengeance.

Talk about weak willed I suppose. I'm actually playing through Uso's mission mode on DWG2, and the things Katejina in battle just honestly disgust. How could she act like that is beyond me.

She's doing it for the cock. The cock is powerful.

Respect the cock.

Fear the cock.

But hey, she got what she deserved by the end. Probably the cruelest outcome out of any of the Gundam antagonist.

Well I don't really know about cruel since she held no memory of what she did or really who she was. The blindness didn't seem to throw her off since she is or say WAS a Newtype. If anything it would be more so for Uso if he actually did see her in the last episode. Now, if she held all of her memories and was blind then I could agree with that more so.

Uso's specials are great, but everything else about the V Gundam is terribly unimpressive, imo.

Depending on the parts rank means a lot to the combo list. If you can get V to have all rank 4 parts then he would be a beast. The only ones I have that are all rank 4 parts are grunt uints but they still rape for me. I guess you could say the player and the mobile suit he's using equal the outcome of the battle.

But fuck people who use the Musha Mk II and Destiny online. That shit is just fucking unfair all the way around.

Same, works definitely been keeping me busy, and will continue to do so since the holiday season is getting closer.

We have been pretty dead at work this past two weeks until 6pm every night. We get a 30 minute busy streak and then it's back to dead as a door knob.

On another note: grabbing the Turn A Gundam series online(BY LEGAL MEANS WINK WINK)

Same here. I haven't began it yet. Borderlands is still eating the shit out of my time. I've also acquired F 91 in BluRay format. Just hope my equipment can run it. :/

OH YEAH. NEW MEMBERS RIGHT THAR

don't be discouraged if some of the members here rip your shit for the series you like. Just means you need to watch better ones in their opinion.

Also, don't talk about piracy either.

Just smoke a little your first time if you do. A lot of people get sick off of it when they ingest too much of it. Believe me, it's not a good feeling and ruins the high and experience of it.

It's like everything slows down a tad and most everything is rather amusing. Best way IMO is to mix it into brownies or some type of baked food. Smoking is alright but it has a nasty taste at times(depending on the grade and how it's cured)and leaves you with serious cotton mouth 9/10 times.

Either way, just be careful with it if you ever do. Not saying that anything could go seriously wrong but with any mood/motor funtion altering drug it has the potential too. Know your limit.

Even when he did start maturing near the end of the show, it kind of loomed over him.

Agreed. The ways in which both their parents died was pretty bad. Both trying to save them/protect them. I'm surprised Uso didn't go berserk and start massacring everything in sight. Again, like you said, Uso is fairly young whereas Kamille was around 15 I think and Uso being 13. Both shared that child like syndrome but to me it seemed Kamille more so. Both always said things along the lines of

Why are you doing this? What do you fight for? Please just end this!

Etc...

Also FLYING WHEELS IN SPACE.

Yeah, she just kind of went evil for no real reason from what I remember. I probably would have liked it more if I watched it at a different time in my life. I was watching through it during some pretty bad times, so I think the constant death and sorrow was becoming overwhelming for me.

With Katejina she was becoming more and more attached to Marias brother and Marias ideals. Although Marias advisers were poisoning her mind and telling her what to do instead of Maria acting from her heart. Angel Halo and reverting everyone to an infant state being the end product. Katejina was increasingly being annoyed by Uso and his talks of her changing, not being herself, asking her what's happened to her and what has Zanscare done to her. She said she could never love a kid like Uso a few times.

Starting to figure that out. I went through Hamans story missions and friendship missions, she can now use the original Gundam and Wing Zero. Which I don't see why I'd be using those, as the Wing Zero is terrible in this game.

Easily my favorite would be God Gundam and V right be hind it. V's super when you jump and he uses the light wings pretty much dominates everything in his path. I haven't gotten around to everyone's story lines but I'll get there one day. Borderlands for right now.

I'd mention more here, but I haven't gotten back to it, or any book. I'm way too lazy with starting and finishing things.

I hear you. I have a good amount of games, manga and anime that I haven't finished or touched yet. Just not a lot of free time and the times that I do I'm hanging out with friends or doing chores around my house.

So much better than the anime.

So I've heard. I mean, punching raptors in the face? Giant lady made from other ladies? HAHA OH WOW! Should start reading it but Borderlands is eating my time up before I even get any.

You should check it out, you'd probably fall in love with it like I have.

Gotcha there.

Oh, I know they wrote it. But it didn't fall to shit IMHO. And my opinion is utmost supreme. B)

Anything that is made by Peach-Pit has the tenancy to turn into that. So why not ditch that series and follow a real one like Rozen Maiden.

It's just too grim for me, it's even worse than Zeta in terms of feelings of the complete misery and hopelessness of war. It went on about 10 episodes longer than it should have, but it did have some neat mobile suits.

True about the grim part. If anything Uso should've been the one to lose his mind and not Kamile. But Uso did have a lot of support that he could understand on a level. I believe it was Kamiles personality that drove him off the deep end and the events prior. Possibly Uso was that much stronger mentally. Some of Zanscars MSs were funny just to look at. The Motoraid squads for starters.

Did give a very good message about war and why it's pointless though. It was also very good at crating characters that you come to genuinely hate as the story progresses. I mean, FUCK Kaetjina. I haven't despised a character like that in a good long while.

Speaking of Gundam, been grinding through Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, and so far I'm thinking it's worth that hefty $63 that I spent on it, good game. But the mission mode seems a bit overwhelming, I don't know who I should be friends with, or how I unlock these mobile suits.

I still haven't done everything with it yet. Not to mention I can't get the online achievements since everyone is using the Musha MKII gundam. Basically you just have to do the exact mission requirements. Don't kill all the aces and you'll be less likely to become unfriendly with them. Not to mention doing the mission to the victory requirements means you gain more points. Getting the licenses is getting a certain friendship or affinity with certain pilots.

On another note, I've also been reading through R.O.D. The manga is really good so far, has the formula for a unique and entertaining series. Oh and....you know, the whole lesbo thing going on is a plus ;}

Sounds guuuuuuuuuuuud.

Watched Victory Gundam these past three days. Series took me really off guard overall. Gives a lot of good quotes for different things and themes.

Lots of deaths though god damn. I thought Zeta was up there. I've never seen the main character cry so much. But considering how young Uso is and the amount of deaths around him involving people he knows, geez...

Is quite the ladies man it would see though. A lot of the women pilots developed affinity towards him. Especially that bat shit insane Zanscare woman. Naked? Bath tub?? Holding?!?

Crazy bitch...

Victory Gundam 9/10 IIMO

Next up is F91 and Turn A. Once I finish those I'll finish off ZZ and all the series that matters will be complete.

Seed? 00? Pfft, you guys are crazy...
