well, It finally looks like I'm finally making my own Art Thread. In all truth this is probably suicidal wo what little and fragile self esteem I have. But eh, I figure I should get back to putting my work out their and seeing what other think of it.

It's been a while since I've really tried to put a lot of my stuff on the net at once.

make it bigger
it's a little choppy
also get photoshop, illustrator, flash, and or fireworks
they'll help you improve greatly withthis kind of stuff

yeah thats true, hell I've been working at blamming spam for years, I even do my best to get all my friends to help out too, but none of them hang out on the site. so they really don't care.

I actually care about the site and don't want it to have all this shit splattered across our pages.

Each day I come to Newgrounds. And here at Newgrounds, I enjoy the flash games, the movies, the occasional BBS post. These things are all pretty fun. As of recent I have grown to be rather challenged by the "Mushroom Tower Defense"and the "Super Stacker 2." Both of which are on the front page I might add.
While Newgrounds is a place of fun game, great flash movies, and the occasional adult pleasure it has also become a place for the stupidity of the internet to congregate. I do not mean the struggling flash artist who pours his heart and soul in to a flash, but still can't seem to captivate the masses, or the popular internet joke that may seem offensive to the casual prude. What I am talking about, in as few words as possible, is spam.
Seriously who started and continues to think that spamming the portal is a good idea? I don't think it's a decent idea at all. Sure there was a time when a piece or two had gotten through judgment and sure it was annoying and a minor problem, and most likely it got blamed with in the day or at least before it got out of the top 50 latest submissions and hell if it made it past that it was a surprise. But as time has progressed it seems that now it has become progress for at least a dozen a day. And at least half get through judgment. Hell I just got off the portal, and now a piece of shit has been mad the review crew pick? Why don't we just re-name it SpamGrounds. At least it'll be fitting then
Come on Mods you guys need to be active in this too, as well as of us people who actually care about newgrounds.
So let us band together and try to wipe out these spammers, and let us not stop at removing just their spam, let us ip ban and delete their accounts. Let's do something, anything, please

And just in case anyone is wondering, I'm more than willing to take a ban for this cause

Angles definitely seem a bit strange-but cool idea. I like the way you drew the big jet things on the back.

it's not really cheating, it's just a useful tool of copying images for other uses such as painting or drawing, Ihad to do it for a portrait of a of an elderly couple and all I had ws this tiny photo refrence image

Because there are those who do have a degree of knowledge that can help you improve your art. Self improvement is so biased and one sided. I know I have commented on certain works saying I don't want a critique. However, overall you don't want ANY critiques? That is seriously skewed. You are just asking for some major ass kissing. That is something newgrounds is definately not good at. You say you don't want critique because you want to do it on your own, okay I can see that. But why bother posting pictures here? From my point of view now, you just want us to pet your ego, honestly get out if you are going to be offended by people trying to help you. Why bother posting anything at all if you can't bear to face the facts. Your art isn't perfect, nor is mine. Critiques can become the most valuable thing, due to the fact it improves art- not the ass kissing. Get your self straight.

you put it perfectly, an ego stroke is the worse thing a piece of art can receive, it lures the artist in to a false sense of security. Sure every artist needs a little ego, it tells him that he can do the projects and do them well, but when you get over confidant you start to lose your self. it happens all the time. I just got back from working a booth at ComiCon here in Phoenix, and I asked dozens and dozens of attendees if they were artist so I've had to deal with this for four days.

no offense, but asking for no criticism is a bad idea. you should not take it as in insult, and learn to gloss over the ego strokes and the assholes cause they will do you no good.

sadly in my experience, it's the people who think their nothing but hot stuff, are the ones who hate to be told anything about remotely negative about their art.
Any artist who are worth their medium should always be willing to accept a good critic .
