their used, but not used.
their usually used if your really wanting to work with images and print, mostly due to the compression, or lack their of,
no usually that is a bad idea.
if your going to do this seriously, you should probably have saved it in three file types.
Jpeg, for the web
Psd (or what ever file type gimp uses), to continue to work on the piece in original layers.
and finally some other uncompressed format such as tiff or targa, this allows a full quality, and also these formats usually also contain the layer data so you can work from these as well., down side of this one is that it can get very huge very fast
going transparent could work.
Also, Since it is just a logo, it's not like it has to actually work. try moving the text above the yellow lines, this also could work
ok, I got something,
I was wondering if I was ewver going to get tu use this
check the request thread, and google. I'm sure I've already seen a tutorial somewhere at one time, and lastly
Rules please.
your images are too small to evaluate properly. if they are vector art then resizing isn't an issue. Post bigger and better examples or at least links to them so we can see them properly
honestly what is with these retarded thread names.
have the general intelligence of the world fallen so far that this seems cool?
sad indeed
please read the rules and please start with a peice of work that is your own.
and lay off the caps. it's rude
I too was hoping to see more of others fantasy renditions. so far, I have been quite amused at what I have seen.
But alas I want to see more. come on folks, get to it

DIs it good?
I agree. it's annoying to see people always asking "Is it good?" "Is this good?" "Am I good?"
no it is not good.
ok here we go, I'll do more later
ok some more ok,
Here is another go, this on is kind of old,

A pencil sketch of a pic I posted else where on the NG BBS.

Wow very nice I like it. it reminds me of my dad, always wanting to go fishing, I wish I had gone wit him more when I was back home. Now, the poor guy, has to work so hard he no longer has anytime to go do such things. Maybe I should draw something similar for him. Maybe I'll do a channel cat, their pretty common out in the sportsman pits.
Damn I just realized that the angle is wrong on the rear of the car. I guess I'll have to re-render it again.
anyway here is the image before I messed with it in photo shop
I like this, might want to also consider extending the ring finger a bit.
your right, it's also a little chubby in comparison to the others too.
Here is a little fun I had with my Shelby I modeled, I just goggled for the back ground picture,so don'trip me for that. I just wanted if I could make a digital compost look decent.
this is after some photo shop touch ups, I'll post the pre-touch up too
This one was and drawn then scanned and colored in photoshop, like I said earlier, that was image suicide for me. I gotta pratice more in photoshop
one requested by my younger cousin
A drawing for a sculpture I was going to make, but it kind of got shoved to back burner lol
True, true, the only "real" original piece is the psychotic clown killer. I'll take that into consideration and try to do some original work.
I'd like to see more original stuff as well, it should be intriguing.
Just let your mind wander and draw what comes to you
ok here is a completed one from my Hardback book
I was in a art club at a comic book shop about 2 years ago, and a us had weekly assignments to draw things of a certain theme, so I chose Will Eisner's Spirit

I might get that far, but mostly I just sketch, or I'm too lazy lol
I'm not that good at inking and I favor coloring by hand over photoshop, so I rarely actually finish peices like this. besides theirs are from my small carry around sketch book.
stuff in my big hardback book I usually finish lol
this one is kind of old, almost a year and a half,
But Zero and X
and a third one for good measure,
Luigi,
this one could really benefit from some cool Photoshop.
Anyway on to the critique!!!
For some reason I kept messing up on his Left hand, I just couldn't get it right. So I opted to cover it with flames. I'll have to go back one of these days and fix it so it looks as if hes actually grasping the flame.
Second major problem is the leg stance isn't that strong, it doesn't match the power portrayed of the upper body, causing the composition to fumble.
Their three drawings should be a good start for my art thread

indeed, the middle torso is one of my weaknesses when it comes to characters.
on this next one, sorry for the size, you really can't see the stomach so I guess it's not a problem, but on the flip side her breast are a bit awkward , also the face, well their jsut isn't much to it, the nose is wrong and their is just nothing about the face thats says "Look at me!!!" but I like the pose, I'll have to play with it some more
