"Communism would work if the people in charge were good."
In communism, you hand all of your property to the government. The state owns the means of production.

Communism is a stupid idea, because it does not have a market-based economy, and because it does not promote competition and work.

there is no state and no government in communism, there never was one.
Property belongs to the people
State doesnt exist

Understand?

In that case I love this false emotion.

I gave you two examples of anarcho-communism in practice earlier in this topic, but apparently you're too lazy to click links.

I guess some people dont even bother reading what you wrote.

Why do animals deserve rights?

They are inferior to human beings in many ways.

Yeah, I bet you were expecting about 4 paragraphs filled with reasons why.

But I'm utterly perplexed, I cannot fathom anybody being so stupid as to think that vastly less intelligent beings deserve rights equal to the human race.

Animals deserve at least humane treatment and anyone who abuses animals deserves to be sent to jail for a couple of years.

Only a sadistic sick mind would hurt animals. If you do that, you have already crossed a line, and maybe one day you will cross another line and hurt a human.

those who inflict pain on animals should be punished severly.

And shes expecting a life together.

Would you rob the girl, and run away?

I wouldn't. I'm sure people will want to amputate my penis right about now.

I wouldn't either.
It is obvious that she would want to have sex with you (hoping that you would fall in love with her).
No matter how much someone loves you, it makes no sense to bother with someone you don't love.

I recommend you to wait 2 years.

You will see that you will not want it anymore.

Normal people don't wear tattoos. It's usually worn by criminals, poor people and superstars.

No respected people have tattoos.

Forum: General

At 4/12/09 04:42 PM, physicsman09 wrote: And this is coming from an American.

Folks I don't know if you've realized but Standard is stupid.

Really, really stupid.

I honestly have no clue how many cups are in a freaking gallon.

Here are valid points:

1. Everyone else uses Metric.
2. Metric is infinetly more simple.
3. Metric makes more sense for measurements of volume/weight/length.
4. Metric is used for academic purposes anyway.
5. Why the hell are there 5,280 feet in a mile? What's so special about 5,280?
6. After taking higher level science classes, (A+P chemistry, Honors physics) I find it extremely difficult to convert back to standard. I'm so used to metric at this point that I'm starting to measure length in kilometers and volume in liters.

I've always thought that we should change to metric, and I honestly don't see why we use standard.

Anyway, what are you opinons on changing to metric?

You have very good points!

Actually even American physics scientists use the metric system, because it's the only way how to calculate most things. That's why SI units have been invented.

Maybe the American government doesnt like the metric system because it has been invented in France in 1791 during the French revolution. Maybe it's like the thinking of traditional conservatives: "everything related to socialism must be bad"

Support you!

In Saudi Arabia?

A marriage is a legal contract between two adults and has to be done according to the regulations of the state.

If you do it in a church or not doesn't matter.

Some countries are famous for late-abortion. Children from these countries are being aborted 19 years after they are born.

For the abortion to take place they are usually sent to Iraq or Afghanistan. I think there is nothing bad about this kind of abortion, because they decide themselves if they want to try their luck or not.

Right?

He will not rock the boat, or do anything radical. He might do some modest programs that help the public, and he might do some things that will back fire. He will have an overinflated approval rating due to the fact he is the first minority president, and the poor job that Bush had done as a president. Over time history will view him as an average president that is only notable by the fact that he was black.

If he really does that, without going to war, like the last 5 US presidents, it would be awesome!

USA doesn't have a good record on valuable statesmen in the last 100 years.

Money is used in 2 ways:

If you gain a few million $ each day, why should you save it? If you have no idea what to do with it, you will definitely be more wastefull.
