I use Paint Tool SAI.
It makes pretty Vectors.
It also makes my lineart crispy clean. :D

Do you mean that when you color under the lines and then hide the lineart layer, the color is kinds blotchy on the outside and not smooth like you want it to be?
If thats the case just go over with a brush to paintwhere the line was and use the eraser occasionally to smooth out the edge.
(I'm sorry if I had the time I would make you a little diagram.)

Or why don't you, when you are finished with your painting, you change the lineart color to match the color you painted with?

I used to work digitally with a trackpad before I got my tablet and yes, it was extremely time consuming.
However, your work is much better than mine was without a tablet so consider that a compliment!
Also, it will take longer, but as long as you really put forth the effort, thiswill look nice.
A pricey but trusted investment would be a drawing tablet for you. Wacom sells great ones like the Fun and Bamboo and, if you have some big pockets, the Intuos and Cintiq.

I´m Using Paint Tool SAI, an Awesome Software... BUT THE FKING MOUSE!!!!

Woo! SAI! It is really nice, and the Vector is easy to use :)
Line tool, pressure tool, all that stuff. USE IT!
It will take longer, but your art will look better. Unfortunately, "longer" simply doesn't describe the amount of time... I know.

Cuz this is the Style of the Finished Person... o_O... Well.... I hope.....

If it is, I can't wait! It loks really nice, and I would really like it if you posted some more WIPs along the way to show your progress.
Good luck!

My pick would be subject to change depending on what your ship looks like and its relation to the sheild.

Yeah, I watched the eclipse. It was very interesting, and most likely the only time I'll see a full lunar eclipse on the winter solstice in my life.
Oh wells. My puppy didn't transform into a talking wolf as I'd hoped, and the Apocalypse didn't happen either.

Yeah.... try not to ever use the smudge tool. Especially to try to even out shading. It is very noticable and looks terrible. :/

If yes, pay more attention to the details and think about the differentces in shapes and sizes and lengths and whatnot.
If no, then look at some refs. :|

So yeah, it seems most people would like to see a ghost/specter as my next unit portrait. They indeed tend to be popular on fan-art galleries! I'm still wondering about the composition involving a ghost... Portrait or action pose?

I've included some very (very) basic possible layouts... Any preferences?

I like the first one.
It would go hand in hand with your last one. The whole having the face take up a major part of the pic. Am I making sense?

Instead of doing so, you could have applied a slight "multiply" filter to suggest shadow over there, and perhaps taken the opportunity to further refine the slick and shine of wolf hair with a smaller brush! Some references might also help as to bringing canine anatomy and realism to the whole picture. Keep doing what you're doing though!

Thanks for your critique. I haven't gotten any in a while; its appreciated. I will be sure to use some of your tips.
My only comment is that I don't use the burn tool. I have SAI, which (as far as I know) has no burn tool. I did mess around with the contrast, but nothing major. Just painstaking time...
Once again, thanks!
