You have a lot of talent and a really impressive style.

by the way i read somewhere in here that you paint.

Whatever. Rasta, you'll never, ever, get rid of bigotry. its ingrained in human nature. Whats more important, realistic, and actually possibe, is trying to create a system of politics that can work even with human bigotry being a part of the equation.

Alone I won't, but as a community we can stop it.
I'm not just going to sit here and let it exist

Hey everybody!
With my first ever submission to the Creature of the Week, I would like to introduce the highly intelligent Pyropod.
The PyroPod is a Omnivore, whose diet comprises mostly the meat of it's prey, as well as fruits and vegetables it is able to scavenge.
The fiery tunnel rising from the pod's base is known as the trunk of the Pyropod.
This Fiery spout serves many purposes for the Pyropod. Self-defense, hot-air balloon transport, as well as for roasting the meat of its prey are the many uses of its trunk.
The Pyropod, being a highly intelligent and social creature, inhabit hundreds of colonies and civilizations spanning planets and galaxies in far off solar systems.
When the Pyropod is not in possession of a hot-air balloon, it is able to get around by walking with his arms.

Is it worth a remake? Posted August 7th, 2009 in Game Development

Okay, so I made this flash about 5 years ago, Luigi and the Mushroom Kingdom's Magical Shroom Blunt
and honestly the drawing and animation is horrible,
but it seems some people really thought it was funny.

I feel like today, with all the experience i have gained since then, i could really make a lot nicer version
My question is,
do your think it would be worth remaking? Would it be worth making?
suggestions please

yeah
no.1
I like it, if you really drew that dino, thats quite neat.
Biggest problem i have with it all is that the background doesnt really do justice to the dinosaur imo.
no.2
Im not really into trippy stuff like this. this one just seems a bit too incoherent to me.
no.3
dont really like the gorilla, the trees you drew match in with the background great though. I think im a bit repulsed by this piece because of the filter that has been used way too much (including by me).

altogether: you seem to have quite some skill, although the pieces dont really do justice to that.
I love the dinosaur, but that background makes it look like some shitty collage a 13 year old made. no offense.
Maybe try doing something for a COW this or next week. Id love to see a more "straightforward" work from you.

Thanks man i appreciate the words! These were pieces i submitted into my AP Art Portfolio. They were pretty rushed due to the fact that i procastinated so heavily and left everything to be done within the last few weeks. so because of that these pieces never became what they could, and should have become.
By the way what is a COW?
I am definitley interested in trying to straighten out my style so i can continue to improve the quality of my pieces, which is why i so appreciate all the criticism i am getting
Thanks.

Here's some meat:
As we exist right now at the beginning of the 21st Century, I firmly believe that we are facing a crossroads. We can continue down a path of complacency and maintain a status quo of enormous economic disparity and environmental chaos at the expense of the health and the unity of the nations of the world. Or we could slow down and sincerely think about how best to proceed in a more respectful and responsible manner.

There is great potential for Humanity to achieve some tremendous accomplishments if we can get out of a nineteenth and twentieth century mindset and begin to think outside of the concept of colonial economic and environmental exploitation.
According to an ABC News Poll taken in August 2002, when asked about the biggest problem people must deal with in the new Millennium, Americans mentioned racism and prejudice more than any other problem. Almost 1 in 4 felt that living in harmony would be hard. 14% of those interviewed say that it is because of racism and prejudice. 9% say that it is because of people's needs to get along with each other. Whites as well as blacks chose racism and prejudice most often.

There is a lot of buzz right now about Human Resource Development and Millennium Development Goals. Millennium Development Goals were first discussed in the United Nations in the late sixties. The plan was to get developed nations to contribute 7% of the Gross National Income for the reduction of poverty levels in third world nations. At that time the objective was to reduce by half the number of people that are surviving on less then $1 dollar per day by the year 1975. Now since the year 2000 we are talking about achieving MDG goals by the year 2015.

Its pathetic at best to imagine that goals that could have been met by 1975 still might not be achieved in the new stated goal of 2015 forty years after the original goal.

Not trying to be a bitch here, but before I valuate your work, Id like to know what you actually did.

All of this was created by me. Yes, I drew the dino with a Wacom Bamboo Graphics tablet in Gimp. The background with the valcanoes was a cutpaper i made in Art class and scanned on to the computer.
The girl was a quick sketch of a model i drew that visited our class. I then scanned it and pasted into the piece.
The gorrilla, as well as the trees in the foreground were drawn by me with charcoal on a big cardboard poster, then scanned on to the computer. The background is a photograph of some jungle. I added a filter on top of the piece so that the photograph and my charcoal work would blend together perfectly.

now are you ready to valuate it?
( btw I agree with you the signatures suck i just added those there really quick before i uploaded them because i was afraid someone might try to jack my stuff)

Bigotry in Politics Posted August 6th, 2009 in Politics

I believe bigotry in the political realm has created havoc for our economy as well as the society in which we live.
what do you guys think?

Drawing in Flash Posted January 31st, 2009 in Game Development

I'm just curious,
when you guys are making an animation, how many of you use a drawing tablet compared to drawing with the mouse?
Do you find it easier and quicker to use a drawing tablet?

I am considering investing in one

King Kong Movie Poster Posted January 29th, 2009 in Art

I made this poster for my art class. Just finished it a few minutes ago. Haven't even turned it in yet. Let me know what you think I should do to it before I turn it in.
I used GIMP 2 and Google Sketchup 7
what do you think?
