i always find i'm more organized when everything around me is a complete mess and its only when i tidy that i can never find anything i need and its only through rummaging and making every thing a mess again that i find what i want, and they do say untidiness is a sign of creativity so remember that next time some one says you should probably tidy up.

Response to: Drawn A Weapon! Posted February 19th, 2010 in Art

saw this earlier so had to do something for this if there was any chance of being apart of this so did a quick side view. this is the S.J bolt action, know to most as the executioner as the power from this simple looking rifle will take a mans head clean of without him even knowing a shots been fired. only 2 have been made, one in the hands of a demon assassin and the other is only known to be in human hands in a modified state.
can you guess what i'm gonna do next?

They should add more catergories and perhaps levels of scouting. So if there were 3 levels and you were on level 1 you'd only be able to scout people who weren't scouted and they would then be level 1. Then someone in level 2 or 3 would have to scout them for them to become level 2 and if your scouter was unscouted you'd just drop down a level... thoughts?
Add to that the fact that some of the good artists occasionally still post shit drawings....
lol, Hulalaoo... that's where a blam/save thing would well with scouting backing it up.

it seems more complicated but it could work though with the whole where do you draw the line thing you would have to have 3 lines on when do you say work is level 1,2 and 3

i'd say the guys left eye need to be closer to the nose and its nice to see you've made it darker and i'm liking the lighting of the piece as well. keep it up and keep practicing.

My ideal is to be able to illustrate and write comics--recreationally not professionally. I will attempt some life drawings privately if you think it'll help but honestly it's not really my area interest.

well imo i recon you could certainly make it profesionaly if you wanted. i've been to enough galleries and seen enough crap to last a life time but your pieces are so much more appealing and interesting.

Why am I drawing lots of women clad in not much? I dunno, but shading skin seems more fun than shading clothes.

i wish i got more female life models. last term we had a couple of east european women who i will just say were very flexible but now with budget cuts going on all we seem to be able to afford is a wrinkly old man named roger

Response to: Art Forum Lounge Posted January 28th, 2010 in Art

i also have pieces on the go for the video game collab though progress is slow with uni work being layed on pretty heavy at the moment, though nothings fun unless its a challenge

It's harder for me to do most anything creative without some kind of background noise, be it writing, painting, digitally painting or animating. I don't know why but it feels like I can't concentrate on doing something creative unless something is stimulating the auditory part of my brain as well.

i agree i find working in silence harder to concentrate and i seem to do more work with music on. though i do find i make less mistakes when doing traditional animation

at uni and in most books were told not to lesson to music if were working because it makes the quality of your work drop, though i can't say i follow that advice unless i'm doing something really technical that requires exact measurements for example. though most of the time i'm listening to some old school rock like at the moment its the rolling stones
