Actually, you could do the Red Baron as the Red Baron!
shhhh your too close to the truth
the red baron is in like a medieval setting right?
k been board this evening so though i'd give animating a little rest and do some line work for fun. no theme really just some sort of gladiator though i wanna add a load more weapons and maybe a second in full armor or something.
i hope i'm let of for my lateness and to say sorry heres a high res version
k heres my entry the inebriater a super hero who has great powers, just they only work when hes incredibly drunk
can't say i've heard of it but it doesn't look to bad though i would say that there are easier ways of modeling characters but its all down to preference i suppose.
i see, fair enough though i'm curious then to what program you use
looks pretty gd though wheres the top half of the head
another little wip of final line art for the inebriater unless someone spots something that needs changing of course.
k heres a little wip of my entry 'The Inebriater'. he'd be a pretty gd superhero if it wasn't for the fact that his powers only work when he drinks absurd amounts of alcohol, which leads to the problem of being so drunk that he can't even see let alone think straight so you can forget about a snappy catchphrase.
56325- thank you though i luv animation too much not to do it. though saying that though i've never given it much thought it would be cool to have a comic.
joe the toucan- too kind and thanks for the good words and as for the jawline i see what your mean it does look a little too high but a quick fix, thanks

looks good, could be more shading on the shirt/shoulderpiece and on the belts....
also: dual weilding a sword and a knife seems a bit illogical...
well your missing out on a great sequel and soon to be 2 sequels haha. though i do agree that the shirt and shoulderpiece are quite flat i'd probably say the trousers as well could maybe do with a bit more. as for dual wielding using a small blade in the off hand is quite logical and provides advantages in both attack and defense, for example some samurai were known to use a small Wakizashi (short katana) in the off hand as a means of defense and to counter attack opponents.
k heres the finished product. any gd?

i prefer 'come on eileen' though to be honest as long as theres some sort of music and plenty of beer flowing every songs a gd song
welcome and this is a great starter piece, luv the whole curvature of the character and would be nice to see some more.
the only time the tate was ever gd was when they had the slides installed which was awesome.

you say that now but i bet when its gone you'll miss it
kamikazepanda: most kind thank you, i was pleased with that design also i've been meaning to go back to that idea and do some variety on the design.
bloo-apple: thank you and yes i do need to colour more. thats my biggest weakness i think, i tend to do the line art with the intention of colouring it but my incredibly low attention spam generally means i get board and draw something else instead. i'm trying to get out of that habit however starting with the fable one.
k heres little wip of the colour job so far. anyone got any tips on this cause i'm not great at digital colouring though i think its going well so far, quite liking the contrast of the hair and the cell shading of the rest of the character anyway.
heres a link to a larger version

~X~
thanks and yeah maybe though i think i would have to do a different scene like with gunfire where i could do the gun blasts in a vibrant yellow maybe to help make it stand out though don't think that style is very me anyway. heres another bit of line art as well, been pretty quite this holiday so had some time to do more drawing for fun and not just hammering out story boards for uni so heres some fable 3 fan art i felt like doing in the hope that some one from lionhead will see it and finally add dual wielding. gonna add the dog 2moz and maybe some enemies before i colour this one.
i really like your stuff dude are you sure you don't secretly work for lion head studios haha, very fable like in design i luv it. hope to see more matey
k thought i'd do a redesign so heres some line art. i'll probably colour this some point this week and do a couple of alternate outfits for a sort of character sheet as well but as far as this characters progression any thought or ideas are welcome as always.

'SAI paint tool' is a fantastic art program. I discovered it from having trouble with photoshop; it was lagging with brush strokes and taking eons to load a while back, before defragging my PC. Note the fact that it's only compatible with windows, though.
this program looks interesting though not having a mac version is a shame but ya never know

guess things work differently where people live, personally i like nothing more then the slow drunken walk home from a good night out, stop for a kebab on the way maybe. though right now its too cold so its not so good but springs coming which is nice.
