How did you get the mp3 not 44.1? If you did the conversion and it's wrong, before converting it once more save another version as an uncompressed wav. Then convert the .wav file to 44.1 mp3 format.

I have the 449C. I got it for a little over $200 (I think). It has alot of features that I don't even use. I don't really know what I would use them for., hah.
I would suggest a simple MIDI controller. More features means more money. But, it all depends on what you're going to be using it for.
